The consistency is similar to a hydrating moisturizer. It absorbs quickly after application. Perfect for a light summer moisturizer.
ConsAfter it absorbs, there's a slightly dry feeling. In the dry autumn and winter months, it feels too light, making you want to layer another product on top.

The rose scent is also a mood-lifter!
ConsIt feels fine when first applied, but as time passes, I notice some deep dryness. It's better to apply a facial oil on top.
TipMixing the cream with facial oil helps reduce the deep dryness!

I love how it's light and absorbs quickly into the skin.
ConsFor someone in their late 30s, the formula might be too light, causing a slight tightness about 10 minutes after absorption. It's fine for summer, but for evenings, you might want to use a night cream instead. I occasionally add a bit of facial oil to increase the rich feeling.

The absorption is quite nice, and it seems perfect for summer use.
ConsIt can be a bit drying if used alone. I usually apply it after a sheet mask or layer a beauty balm on top for extra hydration.

Sometimes even my usual skincare products can sting and cause blemishes during those times. That's when I make sure to apply this cream - it's the gentlest with the best ingredients among all the creams I have at home. It doesn't cause any blemishes, and I feel like it's the first thing that makes me realize how gentle it is on my skin. In winter, it seems a bit lacking in richness, so I need to layer on additional hydrating products. But in summer, as a day cream, it's perfect on its own. Makeup applies well over it too. This is definitely my most treasured cream.
ConsIt feels a bit dry in winter due to the lack of richness. However, it's just right for summer.

There's no noticeable irritation even for skin sensitive to chemical components. It absorbs quickly and feels smooth on the skin.
ConsThere's hardly any rich feel to it. If you only use this after toner, you might experience some deep dryness.

When applied, it feels a bit rich and provides decent hydration right after application. I experienced no irritation whatsoever.
ConsHowever, the deep dryness is quite severe. It doesn't provide any moisture deep down. Surprisingly, it seems to strip away existing hydration. I've been applying it repeatedly whenever my skin feels dry, and I've already used up quite a bit. If only it had a bit more moisturizing power, it would have been perfect. What a shame.
TipFor those with dehydrated skin, mixing it with a face oil might work well.

ConsI have combination dehydrated skin that's oily. While it feels hydrating when applied, once it absorbs, I experience deep dryness, so I definitely need to follow up with a moisturizing cream.

It soothes irritated and reddened skin without causing any irritation. It's immediately effective in calming the skin. The lightweight formula absorbs well, making it perfect for daytime use.
ConsThe hydration level isn't quite sufficient. You might feel some deep dryness, so using it alone can be a bit disappointing. It's best to layer this with a hydration-rich essence or cream, followed by an oil for better results.

I've tried many brands since I started paying attention to ingredients, but among natural, cruelty-free brands, Andalou really stands out for its excellent absorption and feel. For me, it strikes the perfect balance between oil and moisture. Even without added fragrances, it has a subtle, pleasant rose scent. It's truly my holy grail!
ConsWhile I'm satisfied as someone with oily skin, those with dry skin might find it a bit lacking in moisture. It's a lighter type of hydrating cream.
