Dyed twice. My hair is so fine it tangles easily. Usually, I need to use a treatment or ampoule just to be able to brush it. I always do a treatment because of my poor, brittle hair that breaks easily. It needs protein and something to revive its texture. That's when I discovered this product with a high content of hydrolyzed silk. I first tried it as a wash-off treatment while showering. Even though it's called a '100-second treatment', using it for exactly 100 seconds didn't show significant results. Sure, it gave that temporary 'seaweed' effect, but that's not what we're after, right? So I left it on for over 5 minutes, and it kept my hair moisturized and smooth for about a day. The issue is, considering the price and volume, it seemed wasteful to use it regularly as a wash-off treatment for someone like me who needs frequent treatments. So I changed my approach to a leave-in method. After shampooing, I dry my hair about 70-80%, then before blow-drying, I take about a Hershey's Kiss-sized amount and apply it from the ends up, combing through with my fingers. Then I blow-dry. The results? I'm not sure why using it as a leave-in essence works better than as a wash-off treatment, but it does. It's not greasy and absorbs quickly. It even makes blow-drying easier and leaves my hair bouncy until the next day. So that's how I've been using it. Instead of washing it off after 100 seconds, applying it like an essence for 100 seconds works like magic! (My theory is that since hair can't regenerate, the longer good ingredients stay on, the better).
ConsAs mentioned above, for a treatment you need to use regularly, the price is a bit high. Also, it works better as an essence for extremely damaged hair rather than as a traditional treatment.
TipFor those using it as a leave-in treatment, make sure to apply it before your hair is completely dry. For thin hair around bra-strap length, a Hershey's Kiss-sized amount is plenty.
