However, the Missha Essence Sun feels moisturizing. It's not watery either. It's not oily either, so it leaves a fresh and hydrating finish, which I like. This is a true life essential product. I've been using The Face Shop sunscreen because I don't like heavy sunscreens, but this is much better. I really dislike sunscreen scents, but this one is not too strong. It's not heavy, and it's not extremely drying either. It has a shiny, dewy finish, but it's not a greasy sunscreen - it's more of a lotion and cream hybrid texture. When you apply it, it feels moisturizing, but it dries down quickly like a proper sunscreen. Compared to other sunscreens, it only dries down a little bit, not extremely drying like The Face Shop. It doesn't feel like the moisture just evaporates away, but more like a basic skincare product. Wearing it under makeup doesn't significantly affect the makeup. Personally, I didn't experience any hives or eye irritation.
