This is my holy grail product, so I'm surprised by the negative reviews! The color isn't yellow, but a beautiful ivory shade!!!! I have cool-toned skin with redness and a lemon-like tint, and this color suits me perfectly. It's a foundation that makes your skin look great without feeling like you're wearing makeup. I'm so in love with it! Most importantly, it doesn't oxidize, and it feels incredibly lightweight... I hope it never gets discontinued! The formula needs to be shaken before use, but since it's not in a pump bottle, the opening can get messy. However, I don't mind... That's how much I adore this product! If you apply a small amount and blend it gently, it can give a tinted moisturizer effect! It's not completely matte, nor is it dewy, so even though I usually always set with powder, I can finish my makeup with just this product alone. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2019
1. Color Range Unlike Korean foundations with limited shades, international products offer a fantastic variety! They even categorize by warm, cool, and neutral undertones. The freedom to choose a shade that perfectly matches your complexion is the ultimate advantage! 2. Application It glides on smoothly! I don't use it alone, but mix it with other products, and it blends effortlessly! Since it's quite hydrating, I recommend using a damp beauty sponge rather than a brush to avoid streaks. It feels incredibly lightweight, probably due to its high moisture content! I sometimes layer it - first mixed with another product, then alone for extra coverage. Even with multiple layers, it never feels heavy on the skin. That's how light it is! 3. Price I bought this overseas for about $38 in USD. For a department store foundation, that's an incredibly reasonable price! Especially considering even some drugstore foundations cost around $30 these days. 4. Longevity Maybe it's because I have dry skin, but I rarely notice foundation breakdown with any product, including this one. When I get home (without touch-ups), it's barely faded! 5. Staying Power Similar to the above, even after 6 hours out, it still looks fresh when I get home. I thought it might be due to my dry skin, so I had a friend try it. She also reported it lasted well without touch-ups! 1. Fragrance While many foundations have pleasant scents these days, this one's fragrance is really disappointing. Like most products from this brand, the scent is a major turn-off. It has that typical 'I'm makeup!' smell. 2. Product Dispensing I noticed this with Peri Pera products too - this type of packaging is easy to control at first, but as you use it more, it becomes problematic. Without shaking, you either get air or a foamy texture. Then suddenly, it dispenses way too much product at once. It's frustrating! The price is low, so I put up with it, but pump dispensers are definitely superior for foundations. 3. Coverage Due to its high moisture content, don't expect much coverage. It can conceal light dark circles or freckles, but struggles with darker freckles, prominent dark circles, and blemishes. 4. Patchy Wear-off I have allergies and blow my nose often, which causes the product to wear off around my nose tip. Again, this is somewhat expected with such a hydrating foundation, so keep this in mind when purchasing! Since it's a hydrating formula, I recommend applying with a beauty sponge rather than a brush to avoid streaks! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 10, 2019
It spreads thinly and evenly. The color suits warm skin tones well, and its lightweight texture doesn't feel heavy on the skin. The complexion breathes easily with this formula. I was shocked when I checked the ingredients some time after buying it. If I had verified on Hwahae before purchasing, I would have thought twice... Well, since I've already bought it, I'm using it to avoid waste. The color looks pretty when applied about half a shade lighter than your natural skin tone. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 13, 2019
This foundation has the same shape as Peripera's! It's a bit runny, but it sets quickly, so you need to apply it fast! The finish is powdery, which seems perfect for summer use. It offers decent coverage, but for large blemishes, you'll naturally need to use a concealer. I wasn't aware of the ingredients before, but they're quite harsh... A downside is that the opening gets really messy. Also, you need to shake it well before use, otherwise it separates easily. While not exactly a pro tip, if you're using a puff to apply, it's best to first apply in lines, then use a damp puff to blend. This helps it absorb thinly and evenly. Using just the puff can result in a thicker application.
