I applauded after trying this! The matte case houses a matte lipstick that's firm enough not to break when applying. It glides on smoothly. Color-wise, I've always been stuck in a rut with beige and brick red shades. But one day, I suddenly craved pink! Despite pink not typically suiting me, I thought I might find something at MAC or 3CE. So I went to a store to try some on, and wow! It created this pure, captivating look where my lips were the focal point, perfect for layering too. A dried plum shade? I deliberately took a selfie to capture the color after multiple applications, rather than a close-up shot. The color is truly, truly beautiful. It doesn't emphasize dry patches either. Who says it does? It applies smoothly, and unless your lips are chapped or you haven't exfoliated, you might feel a slight dryness, but there's no flaking - even with reapplication. The black case with that plum-pink color... (takes amazing selfies!) My skin has pink undertones but isn't overly yellow. Warm makeup suits me, but so does cool. I'm neither strictly warm nor cool-toned. On days when I wear a yellower, darker foundation, dabbing other lipsticks or tints over this creates a perfect harmony. When I wear a lighter foundation, just swiping this on makes it look like I've put a lot of effort into my makeup. It's a shade that works for all skin tones! The price is steep. Since it's not a department store brand, and many students buy it from road shops, it's quite expensive compared to the 15,000 won lipsticks and tints. However, considering the color, case, quality, attention to detail, and quantity, I'd say it's comparable to MAC at this price point! If you've ever been surprised by a lipstick that stains too much or is too red, applying this all over your lips or just around the edges works wonders. Its ability to pair well with any color is perhaps its greatest strength. The photos show MAC Please Me, Marrakesh, and Old Dress (Please Me is a whitish pink, Marrakesh is a burgundy orange-red). - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 25, 2018
The color payoff of this 3CE lipstick is really impressive. It's a lovely, muted rose shade. Despite being matte, it applies smoothly and evenly. As winter sets in, it tends to accentuate dry, flaky lips. I guess that's somewhat unavoidable with matte formulas. Still, the color intensity is a definite plus. If you're concerned about the matte finish highlighting dead skin cells, try applying a lip balm first, then gently blot with a tissue before using this lipstick. It should help create a smoother canvas!
