There's a nice variety of lip balms available.
ConsHello there! Hallow offers a wide range of lip balms, and I chose to try the Moon lip balm. I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant, and as an expectant mother, I've noticed my skin getting dry all over, especially my lips. After extensive online research, I came across the Hallow lip balm. I read bloggers' claims that it was made purely from plant-based ingredients, safe for pregnant women. Being pregnant myself, I trusted this and made the purchase. However, I overlooked something crucial: whether it's products, medicines, or food - anything! - it's impossible to conduct clinical trials on pregnant women. Therefore, claims of safety during pregnancy should neither be made nor believed. Yet, I bought it based on that very claim. It arrived the next day. The Moon lip balm is meant to be applied before bed, apparently for extremely dry areas. So, I applied it before sleeping. But when I woke up, as you can see in the photo, I developed contact dermatitis. My lips were perfectly fine before using this product. In all my life, I've never experienced such a reaction (or any blemishes) from any cosmetic product, so I was shocked. Currently, my lips are still in the same condition as in the photo. Being pregnant, I can't undergo any treatment, so I have to endure this discomfort alone. It's a crucial time for my baby's growth, but with my lips in this state, I can't eat what I want. I'm limited to soft foods like porridge that won't irritate my lips further. I sincerely hope that everyone who reads this review will be extra cautious when using this product.
