For someone with very dry lips like me, a liquid lip balm seems to work better in winter

It's too light for use before bed, but it's decent enough as a lip balm to carry around and apply throughout the day.

As someone with a lot of dead skin cells on my lips (I have an abundance of tiny flakes), I found the staying power disappointing. After a short while, my lips would dry out and the dead skin cells would actually become more noticeable. I wouldn't recommend this to those who, like me, have a lot of flaky skin on their lips.
