The color payoff is incredibly intense, so you need to be careful with the amount you apply! It feels more suitable as a statement lip for summer rather than winter. I think it would look beautiful if you layer it over a nude base color. There are no downsides! I'm really enjoying using this product. I'm planning to purchase more shades soon! The variety of shades makes it easy to find one that suits me perfectly. It's more on the matte side rather than moisturizing. If you apply just the lip color, it lasts for a long time. Since it's on the matte side, if you want a more moisturizing feel, you can apply lip balm first. However, keep in mind that if you use lip balm underneath, the color won't last as long.
