It's purely for flaunting the Chanel brand when you take it out. I've tried over 100 high-end makeup products from department store brands like Chanel, YSL, Bobbi Brown, and others. Of course, they all have pros and cons, but this one has absolutely zero redeeming qualities. It's a twist-up crayon type, but the color payoff is laughable. It applies horribly and after a while, it only clings to the lip line, which I absolutely hate. I wouldn't use this even if it cost a dollar, but I might if someone gave it to me for free. The color payoff is absolutely amazing! It's not completely matte, but it glides on smoothly with rich pigmentation. And it's not difficult to blend either! I think it's a great shade for adding a pop of color to the inner part of your lips! However, it does emphasize dead skin cells a bit... haha. It might be partly because I'm not great at lip care, but if you apply it directly to bare lips without a base lip product, it really brings out the flakes. Also, if you're a student, don't carry it around in your makeup bag... When you're all using it together and someone exclaims, 'Oh, it's Chanel!' and everyone starts handling it, it's bound to break at some point. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience. Try applying a moisturizing base lip product first, then layer this on top. It's seriously gorgeous. Everyone should buy it... It's great to have one in your collection!
