Whenever I go grocery shopping or exercise on the weekends, my bare lips would look so lifeless and pale. I bought this product to use on those days when I just don't feel like putting in any effort, but still want a lively-looking color on my lips. The shade is quite neutral and easy to wear.
ConsWhile it's marketed as a hydrating moisturizer, the moisturizing power isn't that great. After about 30 minutes of applying it, my lips start to feel dry and parched. And if I try to layer it on, it just ends up looking cakey and unnatural. It's funny how the advice from my teachers in middle and high school about taking care of my lips is something I'm now echoing myself - the passage of time and the nostalgia it brings can be quite humbling. But I do appreciate the tint function of this product, which can lightly brighten up my complexion with minimal effort. So I continue to use it, despite its shortcomings.

I applied with anticipation when I heard that Chapstick came out with a moisture tint, which is a brand that everyone knows. This is a review of the coral blush color. First of all, the environment I used it in is as a mother raising a baby, so I tend to avoid using heavy lipsticks or products with questionable ingredients that could get on my baby's face. That's why I usually prefer lip balms or light tint balms. Or I use lip oils. The products I used before were the Aritaum lip tint and the Fre* color lip balm. Both were satisfactory, but in this autumn weather, when my lips get chapped, layering them makes the lip balm function less effective and the color gets too intense. However, the Chapstick Moisture Tint doesn't get too intense even after multiple layers, and it gives my lips a clear cherry-like look, which I really liked. Since it's a coral blush, it has a slightly pinker tone than the photo, but the reddish pink tone works well for me as a warm-toned 23rd shade. Let me summarize: 1. If you want a subtle color while just using a lip balm, I recommend this. 2. There's little stickiness even after multiple layers, which is great. 3. It's moisturizing since it functions as a lip balm. 4. It pairs well with light makeup or bare-faced looks.
Cons1. As the main name is Moisture Tint, in terms of color payoff as a tint, the coverage is a bit on the lighter side. However, I personally liked being able to build up the color by layering it. 2. The longevity is a bit lacking, so I felt like it dried out faster.
TipI think having both creamy and lightweight lip balms is important. The type you use should depend on the condition of your lips. Of course, the Chapstick itself is a lightweight lip balm, but that's why you can layer it often without the color getting too intense. However, in this transitional weather, it may not be enough on its own. It's not a full-fledged tip, but applying a lip oil beforehand can keep your lips moisturized for about half a day without feeling too heavy.
