I bought this during a sale after reading reviews that it calmed irritated skin... The conclusion? Reviews are highly subjective experiences. Pros: It has a cream texture that feels hydrating when applied. It absorbs quickly, leaving no residue on the skin's surface, just a slight moisturizing effect. I found it worked better on my neck and body than on my face. Cons: First off, it had no calming effect. Despite being called 'Clearing', I'm not sure what it's supposed to clear. I was willing to keep using it if it was at least decent, even without special effects, but... It wasn't even suitable for my combination dehydrated skin. Initially, it felt hydrating, but after a while, I experienced deep dryness... On top of that, my skin became even oilier than usual... My pores were shockingly enlarged... You could practically see the excess oil in my pores... When applied to the neck, it absorbs well, doesn't feel noticeable, and seems to reduce the appearance of neck lines. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 9, 2020
When I applied it, I could feel the rich texture making my skin feel firm and supple However, despite having combination dehydrated skin, it made my face quite oily. It also felt heavy on application - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinAug 2, 2020
This product seems suitable for those with dry skin or people who don't have particularly sensitive skin As someone with naturally sensitive and reactive skin, I usually stick to gentle ingredients. This time, I made a terrible mistake. Shortly after my skin had recovered from dermatitis, using this product triggered the worst flare-up of my life. My skin became so inflamed that I couldn't even wash my face properly. It felt like a painful, tight film was covering my face. It's crucial to maintain the right oil and moisture balance when using this product, as it does have a higher oil content. Unfortunately, for super sensitive skin like mine, it was just too much to handle. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 29, 2020
I'll start my review considering I have combination skin. Texture: ●●●○○ (Softer whipped cream texture than expected) Absorption: ●●○○○ (Absorbs slowly, unfortunately!) Scent: ●●●○○ (Personal preference, but I like that it's unscented...) Rich feel: ●●●●○ (Heavier than the Blemish cream) Hydration: ●●○○○ (More rich than hydrating) I bought this along with the Blemish cream and I'm really loving it. Honestly, I thought it would have a more hydrating texture, but it's heavier than expected. However, it doesn't feel suffocating, so it's great for both day and night use! Good for sensitive skin! However, it can feel a bit rich, so I end up using only a small amount during the day... I mix it with the Blemish cream and apply it generously at night as a sleeping pack! The next morning when I cleanse, my skin feels super plump! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2020
It seemed to work well for deep dryness, but how should I put it... it felt a bit too rich on my skin It's excessively oily and causes a tingling sensation when applied. I use the entire Gaji line including toner, emulsion, and cleansing products, but the cream was rather disappointing - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 15, 2020
It's nicely hydrating. I found it comfortable to use without feeling heavy. It was fine to apply at night before bed. The effects were incredibly underwhelming compared to the advertising claims. I bought it after seeing ads promising dramatically improved skin in 2 weeks, but not only did I not see any dramatic effects, it seemed to make my skin worse - possibly not suitable for me. The quantity was a bit small for the price, and it felt quite rich. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 7, 2020
This seems ideal for dry skin types. Its hydrating properties would be perfect for winter use. For oily skin, it feels too rich. As time passes, it leaves an uncomfortable sensation. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 2, 2020
Skin type: Combination dehydrated + acne-prone skin / My skin had a major flare-up once, and since then it's been going through cycles of flaring up and calming down. Lately, it's been in a more stable state (though I still get occasional painful blemishes and have some lingering marks and redness). I bought this after a friend raved about it, but it was a disaster for me. The excessive richness just sits on top of my skin without absorbing. I have oily skin to begin with, and even though eggplant cream is supposed to be good for oily skin, it felt unpleasantly greasy. The oiliness led to an explosion of tiny bumps. I had to toss it out right away. I bought it hoping to use it as a hydrating moisturizer, but it only made my deep dryness worse over time. I tried to endure it, but eventually had to wash it off and apply a different cream. Even while washing it off, it felt slippery. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 24, 2020
It absorbs well even when applied generously, leaving a refreshing feel on the skin Despite using plenty of cream, it doesn't address deep dryness, and over time, excess oil appears on the surface - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 21, 2020
The eggplant cream has a slightly heavier texture, like a blemish cream mixed with oil! I thought it might pill, but not at all! It absorbs exceptionally well and the application is amazing. All the areas where I had blemishes have calmed down! I'll definitely repurchase when I run out. Those with oily skin might experience small bumps due to its rich texture. Because of its rich consistency, instead of applying a thick layer, use a small amount and spread it evenly to help it absorb.
