  1. Effectiveness I heard it has chemical exfoliation effects, so I tried using it without a separate peeling gel. At first, I was skeptical, but after about 2 weeks of use, I definitely felt my skin becoming smoother. While it didn't significantly reduce texture, it did make my skin feel smoother as the dead skin cells disappeared. As a result, my makeup applies better. 2. Quantity & Packaging The amount is generous for the price, and I like that the packaging is plastic.

  1. Irritation At first, I wasn't sure about its effectiveness, so instead of using it sparingly, I applied it morning and night daily. Suddenly, even other normally fine products started to cause a tingling sensation when applied. My skin became extremely dry no matter what I put on it. I think my skin barrier was compromised... However, this was likely due to my overuse. It should be fine if used only in the evening every 2-3 days.

  I really love The Ordinary brand, but compared to other products I've used, the effects seemed a bit subtle. It actually works better on my body than my face. After using it as a toner in the evening, my skin feels smoother the next day (though the effect is still mild... it might be more effective to exfoliate or use a body scrub). On the plus side, it does save time compared to exfoliating or using a body scrub, which is nice.

  It stung when I applied it to my face. I knew about this before buying, so it wasn't unexpected, but given how much it stung, the results were disappointingly subtle.

  I have oily skin with whiteheads and occasional blemishes. Fortunately, my skin is thick, so I didn't feel much irritation. Recently, I've been frustrated with excess oil and rough skin texture, but after using this product to cleanse my face in the evening, followed by a hyaluronic acid essence before bed, I noticed a significant improvement in smoothness the next morning, both visually and to the touch! Currently, I'm concerned about whiteheads under my chin, so I'll keep using it to see if it helps with that too.
