My skin is super sensitive and reacted immediately. The yellow serum I usually use is fine, but this pink retinol just doesn't work for me. I got blemishes right after applying it, so I had to wash it off quickly. Those with sensitive skin should avoid this. - lu********Dry SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 9, 2024
Incredibly rich and makes your face feel silky smooth when applied The biggest drawback is the small amount for the price. However, it's still good - ko*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMay 22, 2024
Hygienic and with a moderate retinol content, it's perfect for beginners. You'll notice improvements in pores and oil control the next morning. The texture is like a silky pore primer serum with a silica formula that absorbs well, leaving a smooth, matte finish. The single-use amount is a bit disappointing - it would be better if it were about 1.5 times the current size. The price point is on the higher side. - ps********Dry SkinRecommendedDec 14, 2023
It absorbs smoothly like velvet and isn't oily. The capsule packaging is hygienic and helps measure out the right amount. The silicone-like coating feels like it would be great for hydration. It's disappointing that it contains 20 potentially concerning ingredients. I'll need to use it consistently to see if the silicone-like feel makes my skin feel suffocated. - Hwahae UserDry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 9, 2023
I really liked that it comes in capsules, allowing for easy use of small amounts It was a bit disappointing that it seemed to take a while to absorb. Also, if it accidentally touched my eyes, even slightly, the discomfort lasted for quite some time - eu******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 17, 2023
I was pleased that the retinol comes in capsule form, as retinol can easily break down when exposed to air or UV rays. It's hygienic and convenient to take a couple of capsules when traveling. This was my first experience with retinol, and I managed to use up the entire container without any skin reactions. The texture is somewhat velvety when applied, and it doesn't pill when layered under other skincare products. I'd recommend this to retinol beginners. I'm not sure about the exact concentration of retinol in this product. While I used up the entire container due to its gentleness, I was a bit disappointed not to see any dramatic changes in my skin. However, if we consider this as an adaptation phase for retinol, it's not bad! I started by applying one capsule at a time, but later increased to two or three capsules without any issues. - ji*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessJan 14, 2023
Despite containing retinol, I was relieved that it didn't cause any tingling sensation when applied. 1. Although individually packaged, the amount in each capsule seemed a bit insufficient for a single use. 2. Opening the capsules was more challenging than expected, so I ended up using scissors to cut them open. 3. While it absorbs quickly, the finish felt like there was a silicone layer sitting on top, similar to how a primer feels. This wasn't to my liking, as I had hoped for more hydration from a nighttime product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedNov 5, 2021
I tried out two sample packets and I'm really impressed. The velvety texture feels amazing on the skin. Even though it's pricey, it's definitely making me consider purchasing the full size. However, I'm a bit hesitant because the ingredient list shows D5 (cyclopentasiloxane) and dimethicone as the top ingredients. This suggests that silicone-based components are the most abundant in the formula. - sy*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2021
It comes out with a nice consistency and applies smoothly, but surprisingly, it finishes with a velvety, powder-like feel on the skin, similar to a velvet lip tint. Immediately after application, there's a sense of freshness and brightening of the complexion. I bought this as an introduction to retinol, and perhaps due to its low concentration, there's absolutely no irritation or emphasis on dead skin cells. I initially thought one capsule might be too little, but it's sufficient for the entire face. However, one capsule isn't enough to cover the neck as well. First off, the price is a bit wicked, which is disappointing. While I'm satisfied with how it feels on my skin, the effects aren't dramatic enough to justify repurchasing at this price point. I'll likely explore other retinol products in the future. - vm***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedSep 18, 2020
I've been using Elizabeth Arden's capsule line before, so I immediately bought this new product when it was released. Here's my honest review! Improvement in skin texture and complexion: This is its biggest advantage. It definitely makes a difference! Compared to the original Ceramide Capsules, this one has added Vitamin C, which visibly brightens the complexion. Previously, I only used whitening serums like the night serum and retinol serum in the evening, but I love that I can use this product day and night! Absorption: While it doesn't absorb as quickly as the original Ceramide Capsules, it still has that signature Arden smooth application. After applying, you might think it's sitting on top of your skin and wonder if you should move on to the next step, but it actually acts like a booster. Instead of creating a barrier, it seems to blend with other products, leaving your skin feeling even more hydrated. Storage and portability: The single-dose vacuum-sealed capsules are incredibly convenient. Before trying them, I wondered if they were really necessary, but once you start using them, you can't go back - they're that handy! When staying overnight somewhere, you only need to grab one capsule and you're good to go. While two or three drops are usually enough to cover your face with most products, this one requires four or five drops... oh well!
