  I first bought and used it in the summer. The oil... oh my... My forehead and nose... I really didn't want to use it. But I couldn't not use it either, so I just applied a little. As I transitioned into fall and my skin became drier, the lotion started to apply more smoothly and feel more nourishing. In short, it works great except in the summer. As for the acne, it would come up like little bumps and then go back down, so I definitely felt like it was calming down quickly. Since I'm definitely not oily, this cream seemed to work well for my skin type.
