  This product is 10-free from harmful ingredients, has passed low-irritation tests, and contains natural-derived ingredients in a silicone-free primer. It's amazing! It applies like a hydrating serum, and as you spread it, the pearls absorb quickly, feeling just like a regular serum. However, being a primer, it finishes with a fresh feel, leaving your skin incredibly smooth. It seems to refine your skin texture, making it feel like baby-soft skin when you touch it! It's so good that you could even use it instead of serum on busy mornings. The hydration is impressive, keeping your skin from feeling dry while still functioning as an effective primer.

  Cons

  The only minor drawback might be that it leaves a slight pearlescent residue on your hands, but other than that, it's great!

  Tip

  Not only is it great to apply before your base makeup, but it's also excellent to use before oil-based sunscreens. Plus, it works wonderfully as an eye primer too!

  I discovered this while testing various products to mix with broken eyeshadow and foundation. I was even more satisfied when I tried it on my face. The shimmering pearl pigment has a subtle, fine sparkle that's rare in other base products on the market. The pearls don't transfer or stick everywhere. The Aurora Essence Primer creates the optimal skin condition for makeup application. It addresses deep dryness before applying makeup, and unlike other products that can cause pilling or lifting when layered, this primer allows you to reduce the amount of skincare products used. I usually focus on primers at the base stage since silicone types can feel suffocating. With this primer, you can lock in moisture while enhancing base adhesion. It maintains makeup without breakdown or darkening, and its whitening function helps with blemish care, allowing for skincare during the base step. The pink-toned, luminous formula absorbs quickly, leaving a subtle pearl effect that beautifully enhances skin texture. Even with no-foundation makeup, it covers skin texture and wrinkles, especially smoothing out under-eye areas, nasolabial folds, and around the mouth.

  There's nothing particularly negative to mention. At first, the pink-toned formula might seem overwhelming, but rest assured it doesn't leave any noticeable color on the skin.

  Pros

  My skin is dry, and I usually feel parched a few hours after applying makeup. But with this primer, I don't even think about dryness. It keeps my skin feeling hydrated throughout the day.

  Cons

  When used with a moisturizing foundation, there's a slight darkening effect and it tends to settle into the creases around my nose. It also accentuates pores. I haven't tried it with other foundations, so I'm not sure if this is a universal issue. The longevity seems to vary depending on my skin's condition.

  Pros

  It's fantastic to use both before makeup and for touch-ups. I remember a famous brown bottle essence from another brand that was mixed with foundation for touch-ups. That one was expensive and, being a skincare product, sometimes caused pilling during touch-ups. This product, however, is designed for makeup. When I tried mixing a bit of it for touch-ups instead of the brown bottle essence, it was great - not drying at all and it works hard to make the makeup look fresh.

  Cons

  It doesn't look overly obvious when applied, but gives a subtle effect.

  Tip

  It's great for touch-ups as it doesn't cause deep dryness when lightly applied.

  Pros

  I was really struggling with my makeup pilling in winter due to extreme dryness, even when layering thick skincare under my base. But this product solved all my worries! It creates such a perfect canvas for makeup. It feels like it completely eliminates deep dryness. For a primer, it works as hard as a skincare product! It's amazing! I no longer see my base cracking along fine lines or dead skin cells flaking off due to dryness. Highly recommend for those with super dry skin!

  Cons

  1. I discovered it contains 5 ingredients to be cautious about (excluding PEG, but including colorants... probably due to the shimmer). Thorough cleansing will be important because of the shimmer. 2. Those looking for a pore-minimizing primer might be disappointed... It's more of a hydrating primer that plumps the skin rather than covering pores.

  Tip

  Before applying this product, if you use a rich sunscreen in your sun care step, you might not experience 100% of this product's benefits. It works perfectly with lighter sun protection products.

  This is perfect for dry skin types! I used to struggle with extreme dryness in winter, but this product is truly amazing. After applying my skincare routine and sunscreen, I use this before makeup. It keeps my skin hydrated and improves the longevity of my makeup!
