Applies smoothly, lasts long, and the color is perfect. It's got the trifecta! The shade is a pink-brown that's exactly 'my lips but better'. This is my go-to product now. There's nothing really bad to say. It doesn't emphasize dead skin cells either. I'm truly satisfied with this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSep 14, 2020
The color is absolutely gorgeous! It's the perfect dried rose shade, ideal for autumn wear! It's a bit disappointing that it fades rather quickly. Also, it tends to accentuate dead skin cells a bit. I suppose that's unavoidable with matte products though. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 27, 2020
It has a muted, dried rose feel with toned-down saturation. I really liked how calm and subdued it is. When applied in winter, it feels matte and seems to emphasize dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 21, 2020
I bought this lipstick because I wanted a dried rose color. There weren't many places to test it, so I purchased it based on the online color swatches. It's exactly the muted pink lipstick with low saturation and value that I was looking for to capture that autumn vibe. The color isn't too bold, making it perfect for daily wear. It has a sophisticated tone that would pair well with calm and mature styling rather than giving off a bubbly feel. The lipstick absorbs smoothly and blends beautifully. The lack of places to test the product is a downside. While it seems to be available at LOHB's, it's not stocked at Olive Young. The color might be a bit heavy for spring and summer wear. It applies effortlessly and feels comfortable on the lips. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 20, 2020
The YSL Tatouage 16 Nude Emblem has such a beautiful dried rose color! While I wasn't a fan of the scent or texture (it felt too nude and intense for me), the main issue was... the staying power. I ended up giving it to a friend, haha! I really wanted to wear that dried rose color though! So I scoured Olive Young and found about 20 different muted pinks and dried rose shades. I swatched them all on the back of my hand - must've spent an hour there, looking like a weirdo! Among them, I found one at Luna that was similar to Nude Emblem but addressed its shortcomings (it's a bit pinker, minus the 'nude'). The texture is great too! The magnetic cap elevates the lipstick design, which might otherwise look a bit cheap. I love that it's a matte lipstick with no scent... And most importantly, the staying power is excellent! My phone camera doesn't capture it well - it looks fluorescent and cool-toned in photos, but it's not like that at all in person. It's the epitome of a dried rose shade. It's a brick muted pink! There's just a hint of nude, and it's a toned-down pink. Since it's a matte lipstick, my lips felt a bit dry after application. You'll probably need to use a lip balm beforehand. If you don't exfoliate your lips first, it might turn into a flaky mess! Just dab on a tiny bit of lip balm before applying. Don't use too much, or it'll affect the staying power (which is super important, by the way!). - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
The color doesn't quite capture in photos, but it gives my lips a slightly brighter look! In reality, it's more of a muted pink tone. !!!!What I loved!!!! 1. First off, the color It's that toned-down pink I've been searching for! It's so pretty that I'm planning to repurchase when I run out. My friends even asked where I got it! 2. The price I'd say it's reasonably priced for what you get! 3. The closure The magnetic bottom that snaps shut with a satisfying click is fantastic! 4. The design It's clean and beautiful - absolutely top-notch! Room for improvement 1. Dead skin cells Being matte, this issue is somewhat unavoidable, unfortunately. I've found that applying a similar color tint first and then using this for touch-ups helps prevent dead skin cells from showing! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinOct 27, 2019
The color is truly a dried rose petal shade... It's amazing how they captured this color so perfectly. Whether used alone, as a base, or in a gradient, it's absolutely stunning! The staying power is incredible too. Another thing I loved was the case - not only is the design beautiful, but the magnetic closure is so satisfying and convenient. Zero chance of it opening in your bag. As you can see in the photo, there's minimal staining, barely noticeable. When applied to the lips, it's practically undetectable. As you can see in the photo, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells quite a bit. It feels almost too matte, like it might break while applying. However, that doesn't translate to good longevity. It fades easily with a light touch and becomes patchy when you eat. Your lips will be bare after a meal, so touch-ups are a must! Before applying lip makeup, it's best to thoroughly hydrate and remove dead skin cells! Also, a lip primer is almost essential. It improves longevity and reduces the emphasis on flaky skin. It's truly a golden combination, so be sure to use it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 25, 2019
The dried rose scent is beautifully captured! It's like a slightly more intense version of a dried rose fragrance. Unfortunately, it tends to leave quite a bit of residue on straws and cups, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 15, 2019
I absolutely adore the muted dried rose color. It's a perfect shade for fall and winter. The finish isn't completely matte, and it applies with a lightweight feel. The staying power seems a bit lacking. Nevertheless, I'm still using it quite well. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 7, 2019
When I first bought it, I thought the color might be a bit cool when I saw it outside after purchasing it under yellow lighting. But it turns out it suits me quite well, making it a true MLBB (My Lips But Better)! I've been using this dried rose shade since the start of the new semester, and I really love it! When wearing it at school, where makeup is monitored, it enhances my complexion just like a tinted lip balm would, but it's genuinely a natural MLBB look! As it's a velvet lipstick, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells a bit, so you need to exfoliate with a lip balm before application... Another issue is that since it's a lipstick and not a tint, it easily transfers to hands or clothes with just a slight touch... while the color fades from my lips... So, I think it's a product that works well if you apply a tint as a base first, then layer the lipstick on top. This improves both longevity and color payoff, and it's okay even if it wears off. But that might be too expensive to do regularly... It's best to exfoliate with a lip balm before using! Using a tint as a base doubles the staying power! Even if it rubs off on hands or clothes, it shows the tint color instead of my naturally dark lips, which looks much better than when wearing the lipstick alone!
