It's not quite chocolate brown, nor is it pure black... it's an intriguing shade of black. It pairs beautifully with the darker shadows in the Neutral Eyes palette, which is part of the set, creating a seamless blend. The application is creamy and smooth, gliding on effortlessly. What's great about MAC eyeliners is that even in the same color, they have this rich, intense quality. It's the kind of deep eyeliner that could help you achieve that bold makeup look, reminiscent of the MAC store staff. Unfortunately, it's excessively creamy, which completely ruins its staying power. I remember my previous MAC eyeliner wasn't this bad, but this one seems even creamier - perhaps they've changed the formula? It smudges off way too easily... Even after setting it with powder, by lunchtime, all that's left are faint, smudgy traces. It feels like a downgrade from the original MAC eyeliners. It smears easily and wipes off quickly.
