My skin type: - Oily (not combination dehydrated) - Large pores with severe blackheads on the nose - Prone to redness and easily irritated - Occasional whiteheads and inflamed acne Note: This review is tailored for oily skin types. How I discovered this product: In middle school, I had extremely oily skin and severe acne. I tried every acne-specific product, including this Tony Lab line. Quick review: - Ingredients: ★★ - Texture: ★★★★ - Cleansing effectiveness: ★★★★ - Hydration: ★★ - Value for money: ★★★★★ - Lather: ★★★★★ Pros: 1. Salicylic acid: Works wonders for my skin. Highly recommended if you've seen results with salicylic acid before. 2. Cleansing power: It truly leaves your skin squeaky clean. It's designed to remove all oil, essentially resetting your skin. This product is more about preventing acne by removing daily oil and sebum buildup, rather than treating existing blemishes. 3. Excellent value: Tony Moly's strength lies in its familiarity and affordability. It's budget-friendly for students, frequently on sale, and easily accessible. If you're struggling with acne, give the Tony Lab series a try - you've got nothing to lose.
ConsCons: 1. Ingredients: To be honest, I wasn't paying attention to ingredients 10 years ago, and resources like Hwahae didn't exist. I just assumed it would be good for acne-prone skin and used it out of habit. I'm disappointed to learn it contains pore-clogging ingredients like myristine and stearic acid. I also wish they'd remove the fragrance. 2. Hydration and after-feel: This cleanser's strength is purely in its cleansing power. It strips away moisture along with oil. The 'squeaky clean' feeling is accurate - perhaps too much so.

ConsIt seems to handle blemishes fairly well, but it doesn't do much for pore care...

A pea-sized amount lathers well, and I love that there's no deep dryness after cleansing.
ConsWhile it doesn't cause deep dryness, it doesn't feel particularly hydrating either. It helps with blemishes but doesn't seem to do much for pore care.
TipSqueeze out an appropriate amount, work it into a lather, then gently massage it onto your face. Leave it on for about 30 seconds like a mask before rinsing off for best results. If you feel any tingling, rinse it off immediately.
