Perfect for scalp care! Works well even with hard water. Use once every 1-2 weeks. I have scalp flakes, some oil (not excessive), and thick hair. My scalp acts up during seasonal changes. I have combination dehydrated skin. I'm not the type to set aside time for hair care. I usually don't brush my hair, but I'm trying to make it a habit recently. I wash my hair every 1-2 days in the evening. I always dry my hair/scalp before lying down. I flip my hair and dry it in 2-3 sections. If you can't control the amount, it might not cleanse properly or could mess up your hair texture. It can make your hair feel more brittle than usual. (But I think scalp care is important too) For sensitive types - you might feel like there's residue on your palms no matter how much you rinse. (It's like when you mistakenly use oil-absorbing powder on greasy hair) The unique bottle shape can be inconvenient at times, but it helps with controlling the amount. It contains some questionable ingredients. (Seems other reviewers are aware of this too) When using for the first time, start with small amounts. For pre-washing, some use their regular shampoo first, then follow up with this. (I always do a pre-wash regardless of the shampoo. It takes time to wet my hair/scalp due to its thickness) If you're even slightly interested in scalp care, you probably know to lather it in your hands, apply it evenly to your scalp, and massage with your fingertips. My hands and feet get cold easily, but my face tends to heat up, so I often use a cold compress or aloe gel on my neck. - my*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 29, 2021
The cleansing effectiveness is great. I've been struggling with seborrheic dermatitis due to an oily scalp, but it's significantly improved. This has the best cleansing power of any product I've tried. It leaves my scalp feeling squeaky clean, yet unlike soap, it doesn't tangle my hair. The quantity is a bit small. I feel like I'll use it up quickly. The container is also flat, which makes it somewhat inconvenient to use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 31, 2020
I've been hoarding this and using it sparingly, but now it's becoming hard to buy. It's so incredibly refreshing! I was surprised to find out there are more questionable ingredients than I expected... The ingredients list is quite disappointing. Despite that, I'll probably keep using it. The refreshing feel and the fragrance are just too good to give up. Using it once or twice a week feels so invigorating! - au*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 14, 2020
If your scalp is in a mess, this product is worth trying. It's recommended to use it once a week, not daily. While it might not be necessary for those with naturally healthy or dry scalps, if you have an oily scalp and find that shampoo alone doesn't remove all the scalp residue, making you consider a scalp scaling treatment, this could be effective. I'm very satisfied with this product. The scent is similar to Andalou Age Defying Shampoo... Some describe it as a crayon smell. Personally, I found it to be a powdery and luxurious fragrance. Wow, there are some not-so-great ingredients in this. Despite that, it cleanses so well that I plan to use it once a week. After all, many products contain sodium laureth sulfate. Natural surfactants would be preferable, but... it leaves my scalp feeling so refreshed. I'm willing to overlook it. The price is a bit high for the amount you get.
