The scent and finish aren't the best, unfortunately. The blue-colored product has a chemical-like smell that might be off-putting at first, reminiscent of something you'd encounter in a lab.

I'm writing this with a heavy heart... I noticed many reviews saying there's pilling when applied before makeup, but for the best results, you need to apply this before bed! And since it's focused on skin elasticity, you definitely need to apply a separate moisturizer (of course it'll feel tight if you use this alone). It can be a bit intense, so on days you use it, avoid peeling products and Vitamin C! The night before an important day, apply your usual moisturizer generously, then layer on this product, and take two collagen supplements. I swear, the next morning you'll look two years younger! It's the real deal, you must buy it. I couldn't find anything else that actually works for elasticity...

There's definitely some irritation, probably because of the copper peptides - they seem to be quite potent. Even when I apply a tiny amount, my face gets red and slightly itchy. I'm using it over my moisturizer, about once a week. The scent is also quite strong, with an artificial medicinal smell.

35-year-old male with combination skin here. First off, it seems to be effective for pore tightening and elasticity. It contains a good amount of quality peptide ingredients. The price isn't too steep either, ranging from $40-$50. The absorption and application are pretty decent.

- It pills slightly under makeup, so I wouldn't recommend using it before applying cosmetics.
- While the texture is much better than the oil-based Vitamin F, it seems to just provide hydration. However, one of its key features is that it's rumored to have 'actual' effects on wrinkle improvement, so I plan to continue using it for daily care.

Packed with various peptides and boasting great ingredients, this is apparently the brand's flagship product. I bought it along with the 20% Vitamin F. Rather than expecting miraculous results, I figure it's better than using nothing at all. I've heard this ingredient is considered the best alternative to retinol.

The texture is a transparent blue, slightly thicker than a runny nose. It instantly feels moisturizing on the skin and absorbs quickly with a nice, bouncy feel. Depending on your skin type, those with combination-dry skin might find it drying after application in spring and summer without additional products.

Update after 2 weeks of use - I'm upgrading my rating from 4 to 5 stars.
It provides instant hydration, improves skin texture (making it firmer, smoother, and more supple, and significantly delays the onset of dehydration when wearing makeup), and is gentle on the skin. It's the most essence-like product I've ever used, and I love it.

I reach for it more often than the oil-based Vitamin F. When I massage it into my face, it instantly provides a hydration boost equivalent to about 5 layers of toner. It absorbs quickly, forming a protective layer. When it starts to feel dry, I apply a moisturizer on top. The hydration gives a nice cooling effect in summer, which is great. It seems like a well-made product.

The Vitamin F, on the other hand, seems to make my face more sensitive (and caused dry eyes), so I've stopped using it daily. I now use it once a week on my face and apply it to my body for 5-6 days consistently. Interestingly, I find the Buffet more effective when used intermittently rather than daily.

The scent... Perhaps due to the copper peptide content, there's a slight metallic odor that's noticeable.

It causes a lot of dead skin cells to come off. The more you apply, the more dead skin cells appear. The Ordinary's ruthlessly high level of skin shedding is truly remarkable. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it a 'dead skin serum'. The flakes are bluish!

It seems to help with skin elasticity. As I'm getting older, I feel like I need to apply at least one multi-peptide product, and this is the only one I'm familiar with.

It's even more moisturizing and better when I use it mixed with hyaluronic acid.
