The product is gentle. When applied on my sensitive skin in a dry state, it often stings, but this one was quite alright. The essence is on the thinner side, so it did drip around my eyes, but it didn't sting which was good. Of course, since it's not water, there is some degree of foreign body sensation.

As someone with frequent breakouts, I've been using only mild products, so I've been using only mildly acidic products. And sure enough, it's gentle without irritation. + It seems to be really good for soothing the skin and providing moisture! Of course, it doesn't cause any breakouts, and there was a slight redness that went away the next day!
