Manufaktura Gentle Oil Based Makeup Removing Emulsion for Eyes & Sensitive Facial Skin

Unlike the delicate shower gel and shampoo I reviewed before, this product does not contain any allergy-causing ingredients. I sometimes use the eye & lip remover as a base makeup remover, and this product leaves an oily feeling after cleansing, similar to using a cleansing oil with a cotton pad. However, it is less irritating to the skin and effectively removes impurities. I tried using it on my face after just my basic skincare routine, and the cotton pad turned quite yellow, indicating it removed a lot of residue. While it may feel a bit stuffy and require a second cleanse, this could be a good first cleanse option for those with very dry skin.

This feels a bit heavy for my combination skin, but I've continued using it as it doesn't cause any breakouts. (Updated on 03.20.19) Over time, I've noticed the oil and water layers don't mix as well, leaving an overly oily feeling. I have to double cleanse with a cleansing foam or lotion (like the Gonyeo Steam Cleanse) to fully remove it. I'm lowering my rating from 4 stars to around 2.8-3.2 stars.
