Quick review: A product that delivers proper primer functionality at a reasonable price. - Fills pores effectively! There's a noticeable difference in makeup application with and without it! - Improves longevity too! - Quite hydrating! (Not in a dewy way, but it doesn't leave skin feeling dry) (I haven't tried many products, so it's hard to make comparisons... I researched a lot of reviews before purchasing, and I'm satisfied with its pore-filling ability and lasting power, so I'm using it happily!) Well... There might be cheaper options out there?! (Though I'm not particularly looking to switch... Unlike color cosmetics or functional skincare products that vary based on preference or daily needs, I think a primer is good if it does its job. If I had to categorize it as good or bad, it's definitely good!!!!!!! While they say to apply primer only where needed, I prefer spreading it thinly over a wider area! It glides on smoothly, making it great for filling in cheek pores too - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 23, 2022
The coverage and staying power seem fairly decent Unfortunately, it didn't agree with my skin. I got blemishes on my forehead - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 13, 2022
It covers pores incredibly well and instantly smooths the skin. While it's great for women's skin, I think it would be especially effective for men. Since it's colorless and lightweight, it seems suitable for men to use too. I've always found Clio's pore primers work best for me, so I stick with them. However, I wish they'd reduce the volume and lower the price. Given that you only need a tiny amount of primer, I end up throwing away unfinished bottles and buying new ones... That's the main drawback for me. Don't apply it all over your face. Instead, use a small amount on areas where pores are most noticeable. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 7, 2021
It's reasonably priced and comes in a generous amount, which is great. The matte finish is perfect for summer, as it conceals small blemishes and pores while leaving a soft, powdery finish. I love how natural it looks and how the coverage seems to last for a long time. The scent is a bit off-putting. Unfortunately, larger blemishes and pores don't get covered no matter how much you layer on - it just pills up instead. Also, it makes my face itchy and even causes breakouts. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 22, 2021
It feels incredibly soft and velvety! It applies just right, melting into the skin smoothly and gently. I bought it specifically to cover my pores, and its coverage performance isn't bad at all. I use it to conceal just my nose and the areas around it! I'm not sure if it's because I have oily skin, but after some time, the areas where I applied it become shiny, as if oil is seeping through. As a result, my makeup always comes off in those spots. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2020
I prefer this over Benefit. Benefit is too expensive and the ingredients aren't great. I applied Benefit on one side and Clio on the other. Clio's texture feels more elastic rather than smooth like Benefit. The hydration seems better than Benefit. Pore coverage was similar. With better ingredients and a lower price, I'm choosing Clio. ====================== (Update) After using it more, I think Benefit is better at covering pores. While they seemed similar at first application, Benefit's more shimmery formula seems to fill in between pores better. Once I finish this, I might become a nomad again... Downsides... there aren't really any. It applies with a more elastic feel rather than shimmery, but that's not necessarily bad. It should work well if you spread it thinly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 12, 2019
I was amazed to see how it reduced the appearance of makeup settling into my smile lines after laughing! It's really effective on fine lines and even has a slight impact on pores. I have blemish-prone skin, so I applied it sparingly, fearing breakouts, but so far, no blemishes have appeared. I was a bit worried when I bought it due to the lack of reviews, but it's actually quite good. To be honest, I've never used a primer before, so it's hard for me to compare it to other products... haha! But it definitely conceals fine lines. I'd recommend applying it around the eyes and smile lines. It has a matte feel, glides on smoothly, and doesn't cause any irritation. I bought it for my pores, but the effect isn't miraculous. If you're expecting porcelain skin, you might be disappointed! It didn't have much effect on the wide, sunken scars on the sides of my cheeks. To be honest, I'm not sure about its effectiveness on subtle pores either. Since it's my first time using a primer, I wonder if I'm not applying it correctly. I applied it very thinly to avoid pilling, so maybe that's why... And let's be real, if there was a primer that could completely cover pores, everyone in the world would have egg-smooth skin. Such a primer probably doesn't exist! So, considering that, I can't really say this product has no effect on pores. It's worth the money when applied to areas where makeup tends to settle into wrinkles! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 18, 2019
* I've tried countless pore primers, but Clio is truly the best. L'Oreal (pills too much), Benefit (expensive, poor longevity), A'pieu (doesn't cover pores well) - I was never satisfied with any of them. This product, however, nails the basics! It conceals pores effectively... And it doesn't pill (it feels like it melts smoothly into the skin) * It's best not to expect any primer (or makeup) to completely hide pores * First, apply skincare -> base -> gently roll and pat this primer with your fingers. Then apply foundation, and finally dab a tiny amount of the primer on top.
