True to its reputation as a recommended product, the glitter color is incredibly cool. The main color is a cool pink glitter, with occasional blue and purple glitters that have a strong presence. In a typical distance from people, the small pink glitters just shimmer and sparkle between pink and silver. But when you get up close and move your face around in front of a mirror, the blue pearls really pop out. I think people's preferences will vary, but for me, this product served as a point of comparison and inferiority against the product I was trying to compare it to^^.. The pearl size is all uniform, and they are applied evenly without clumping. The applicator is thin and weak, so it doesn't irritate the eye area when applying.
ConsSince my face color has an orange-peach tone, the light-toned glitters don't really stand out against my complexion. But the blue pearls in the Grind felt very jarring on my face. I mean, if you're going to use glitters, why would they look so unattractive? But that's what happened to me. Those high-chroma blue pearls felt tacky and out of place. I felt like the pearls just didn't suit my eyes at all. I ended up regretting my impulse purchase, because I could easily find cheaper and prettier glitters at the drugstore, like the 3ce Petal ones... I'm trying to just lightly dot on a few pearls to highlight my aegyo-sal, but even that is irritating my eyes. My tears are making my makeup smear and the pearls are flying everywhere. Stila and Holika had a bit of irritation too, but not to this degree.
TipThe Grind by Urban Decay and the much-talked-about 3ce Petal. The Petal is more beautiful.
