Since I intended to use it as a toner, I tried applying it with a cotton pad, but that required too much product. It's better to spray directly on the face. After application, I noticed my blotchy skin seemed a bit calmer. No blemishes appeared, but I'll need to use it longer to be sure about its effectiveness.
