The product has been renamed to 'White Essence'. It's a great product, but I'm writing this review because there aren't many out there, which is a shame. I bought it as a substitute for SK-II, and first off, it doesn't have that fermented smell. I don't mind it, but this is great for those who do! It's so hydrating that I often forget to apply cream or emulsion afterwards. Just this alone keeps my skin from drying out. Despite not feeling oily, it seems to balance oil and moisture well. And the cotton pads? They're simply the best. After about two weeks of use, my skin started to glow. I usually pay attention to exfoliation, but after using this product, I catch myself turning my face in different lights, admiring the glow - at almost 50! It makes me chuckle to myself. It's truly an excellent SK-II alternative. My routine is: weekly exfoliation, cleansing, La Ometté White Essence, then cream. The lack of fermented smell? I guess I actually liked that scent. The key is to follow the product recommendations carefully. Use the leftover essence on the cotton pad to apply to your hands and elbows. There's nothing worse than seeing rough, whitish dead skin cells on your elbows. Make sure to use what's left on the cotton pad for your hands and finish with your elbows. - al*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 21, 2019
I really like how refreshing it feels and its great ingredients. SK-II has many questionable ingredients, and I heard it's been discontinued anyway. It comes with cotton pads, and there's a hygienic cap for protection. It's difficult to rely on this product alone. I feel like it might cause some slight tingling with blemishes. I hope it continues to work well for me in the future. It does sting quite a bit if it gets in your eyes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2019
It feels like it flows like water, and when I used it on my sensitive, irritated skin, I felt a soothing effect. Compared to other fermented essences, I didn't experience any blemishes that often come with using skincare products! It's not a product that gives you an intense feeling of hydration, but rather has a light, refreshing texture. On days when your skin feels tired, it's great to soak the sponge cotton pads sold with Laonette products generously with this essence and use it as an essence mask! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMar 22, 2019
I've been using this for almost two weeks now. (Purchased with my own money, by the way!) My skin absolutely loves SK-II's Pitera, but given its hefty price tag and not-so-impressive ingredient list, I decided to try this Pitera essence from the lesser-known brand La'omette. The price was reasonable, and I was pleased to find no harmful ingredients in its formulation. I started using it with a casual attitude, thinking I could always use it on my body if it didn't work out for my face. But oh my, it's been such a perfect match for my skin! Maybe it's because of its whitening and anti-wrinkle properties, but when I wake up in the morning, my face looks bright with a beautiful glow. For reference, I have combination sensitive skin. It's been a while since I've found a product that works so well for me, and I'm definitely going to keep using it! After applying this Pitera essence, I follow up with Sidmool's Aloe Wrinkle Repair Emulsion. The combination leaves my skin neither dry nor too oily - it's just right! Even better, my makeup applies beautifully on top of it! The only downside is that it really stings if it gets into your eyes. I'm not sure which ingredient causes this, but it's quite uncomfortable. Other than that, I have no complaints. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 19, 2019
Since I started using this, strangely enough, I've noticed less dead skin cells forming. It also seems to make my makeup adhere really well! I highly recommend buying the cotton pads they sell separately and using them as directed - it definitely seems to make a difference! I haven't experienced any downsides yet, but I'll need to use it a bit longer to know for sure. I'd recommend this to those who've been using the pricier SK-II Pitera. Make sure to use cotton pads - it's a game-changer! Gently patting it in with the cotton pad seems to help makeup adhere better and improves overall effectiveness.
