  This product applies incredibly smoothly while feeling lightweight. True to its name, it has a powdery texture that feels like it's dusting onto your lips. There are many shades that work well for layering with other products or colors, making it great as a base too. If your lips are occasionally dry, there might be some emphasis on dead skin cells. In that case, it's a good idea to gently exfoliate before application or apply lip balm first to smooth things out.

  While the powdery formula helps it adhere to the lips, the staying power isn't exceptional, and it tends to transfer onto masks quite a bit. Apart from that, I didn't have any other disappointments!

  This is the ultimate lip color for autumn warm tones! I keep it stocked and carry one in every makeup bag. The color is incredibly pretty, a toned-down shade that's the epitome of dried rose. It might just be the champion of that color category. The product has a powdery finish and applies smoothly with a soft texture.

  Cons

  The one downside is that it transfers easily. To combat this, I apply it once, blot twice with a tissue, then reapply. This technique really enhances its staying power!

  Tip

  For an absolutely stunning look, apply MAC's Velvet Teddy as a base, then use this as an accent color.

  I'm a fan of MAC and I frequently use Devoted to Chili because I love the color. The initial application is smooth and the shade is absolutely gorgeous. It's more matte than traditional MAC lipsticks, which I actually prefer.

  Cons

  Since it's a matte lipstick with extra powder content, it does tend to accentuate dead skin cells on the lips, as you might expect.

  This is my absolute favorite lip product! As someone with a deep undertone, I believe this shade is a must-have. Not only is the color fantastic, but the texture is incredibly lightweight. I was initially concerned it might be drying, but it's actually about 70% less drying than I anticipated, which is great.

  The only downside I can think of is its longevity, which leaves something to be desired.
