  Pros

  I've been into matte lipsticks lately and wore them often, but using only super matte ones made my lips dry and chapped. However, I found that applying Bobbi Brown Crushed Liquid Lip over a matte lipstick keeps my lips moisturized and gives a beautiful color payoff!

  While it's hydrating, there's a slight sticky feeling. If you apply too much, it might make your lips feel a bit heavy.

  Pros

  The color payoff is absolutely gorgeous. It's totally my type. It lasts incredibly well for a long time, and if you reapply after the initial application wears off a bit, it really stays put. I was looking for a liquid product, and I love the perfect, slightly tacky texture.

  Cons

  The fact that you have to use your fingers to apply it? Since it's so pigmented, you need to control the amount carefully. I don't like full lip coverage, so I often do a gradient look, but whether you're going for full coverage or a gradient, you'll need to adjust with your fingers. Also, it's unavoidable that you'll need to wipe the applicator tip frequently, regardless of which tint you use.

  Pros

  First off, it's my absolute favorite color. It's a red with a slight pink undertone that would look amazing on cool-toned skin. What I love most is that even though my lips tend to get flaky, this tint doesn't accentuate dead skin cells at all.

  Cons

  I prefer applying lip products lightly, but it's challenging to control the amount with this tint. Also, I bought it at duty-free for just over $30, which might be a bit pricey for students.

  Tip

  To make application easier, try using a lip brush. It helps with blending and keeps your hands clean!
