As someone with extremely oily skin, especially in the T-zone, cheeks, and forehead, I'm always battling excess sebum. Even with just toner and serum, my face would get greasy later. I also struggle with facial heat and deep dehydration that leaves my skin feeling tight after cleansing. Other toners couldn't quench that deep thirst in one go, but this one is a game-changer! It truly addresses my dehydrated skin while having a water-like texture with no stickiness. It even helps calm the heat in my face (see photo). I use it morning and night, and it leaves my skin feeling so fresh! It's perfect for daily use. Despite my sensitive skin, there was absolutely no irritation. I think it even has some gentle exfoliating effects! It strikes a great balance - not too oily, but more hydrating. While I can't speak for those with dry skin, I can confidently say it tackles deep dehydration in one application. All in all, it's fantastic for everyday use! As someone with acne-prone skin that tends to overheat, I should note that it doesn't provide dramatically quick acne relief or instant cooling. It's more of an excellent daily-use product. However, it does an amazing job at deeply hydrating the skin in just one application! For enhanced effectiveness, try storing it in the refrigerator and applying it cold! - dm******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 5, 2025
When applied, it gives a feeling of hydration and improves skin texture. The formula isn't particularly thin. Using it consecutively causes small bumps to appear... It contains exfoliating ingredients, making it too harsh for daily use. - sh****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 1, 2025
I bought this when my skin was super sensitive. Due to its price point, I alternated it with other toners, but I must say it's definitely effective. It's highly hydrating, and it seems to manage dead skin cells well as my skin texture becomes incredibly smooth. It also appears to be great for soothing the skin. If there's a downside, it would be the wicked price. Unless it's on sale, I'm hesitant to purchase it at full price. - gu*********Oily SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 1, 2025
As expected from La Roche-Posay, I found this product to be reliably usable. It doesn't have any particularly standout features. True to La Roche-Posay's reputation, the not-so-low price creates a bit of a barrier to entry. - je**********Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesRecommendedMar 16, 2025
I've been using this for a long time because it's great for blemishes and oily skin It's a bit drying for winter use, so I avoid using it during the colder months. It's best to use this primarily during the summer - al********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 12, 2025
I've been consistently using Avène's Eau Thermale Cleanance Duo Toner and Serum since around 2019! With my super sensitive skin that's combination, dehydrated, and prone to all sorts of issues, I tried countless products before settling on these. After endless skin troubles, I found my holy trinity: these two products plus Avène's SOS Cream. Since adopting this skincare routine, I haven't had a single blemish! The products absorb well with a light feel, and they work hard to keep my skin hydrated for hours without any residue. Plus, they're fragrance-free, which is perfect for sensitive skin! While everything about these products is excellent, the one downside is that the bottles are quite small. They run out quickly and can be a bit pricey. - sa********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 6, 2025
I was really worried because I suddenly got a lot of blemishes on my skin. After trying various popular products, I gave this one a shot, and wow! I could definitely see an improvement in my acne, with many spots disappearing. It seems to have especially helped with those tiny bumps too. I think the amount you get is a bit small compared to the price. Aside from this point, everything else seems great! I either apply it by patting it into my skin with my hands or use it as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad. I even use it as a mask sometimes! - tj********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 20, 2025
This water-based toner absorbs incredibly fast! It seems suitable for all skin types - dry, oily, combination dehydrated skin, you name it. La Roche-Posay is famous for improving the skin barrier, and this works especially well with their cream! Using these two together has significantly reduced my blemishes. Oh, and despite being called an 'emulsion', it's actually a toner since La Roche-Posay is an international brand. Don't let that confuse you - just go ahead and buy it! As you can see in the photo, it's supposed to remove dead skin cells, but honestly, I'm not sure how effective it is at that... Apart from this point, I liked it! Make sure to use it with La Roche-Posay cream for the best skin barrier improvement. It's really effective... I love it! - vl********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 19, 2025
This product is truly, genuinely a top recommendation. It's been my skin's savior in 2024. I have blemish-prone skin that easily reddens and is super sensitive to external factors. Last summer, my makeup kept separating and wouldn't adhere properly due to my skin's sensitive condition. I happened to buy this toner and tried it... From the moment I started using it, my sensitive skin calmed down remarkably fast - it was almost magical! I'm already on my second bottle. Without this toner, my skincare routine would be impossible. If you have blemish-prone skin, redness, or super sensitive skin, you absolutely must try this. I'm usually the queen of laziness, but I came here to write this review hoping it would help others with similar skin conditions to mine. It's absolutely fantastic for soothing the skin and helping makeup stay put! There's absolutely nothing to dislike! It's a gentle, water-based toner with zero irritation. After using this toner, I suddenly became very interested in La Roche-Posay products. I tried their B5 Cicaplast Balm, Effaclar Cleanser, and Hydrating Cream. Except for the B5 Balm, everything else suited my skin well and was gentle. (The B5 Balm might be better for those with dry skin as it's quite rich.) I searched on Hwahae and bought a few masks with good ingredients to use alongside the toner. My skin seemed to recover even faster! The combination of La Roche-Posay toner + masks (twice a week) + gentle moisturizer is absolutely perfect. - al*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 5, 2025
Seems great for sensitive skin. It's gentle and perfect for use as a toner. The price-to-performance ratio isn't particularly impressive. I also use La Roche-Posay cleansing foam emulsion, but this doesn't seem to have any standout effects.
