I'm a summer cool mute, and I usually like to apply a base lip color and then a point lip color on top. So I prefer using a moisturizing base and then applying the point lip color, blending for a gradient effect. However, this one is matte, so it settles into fine lines and doesn't blend well with the point lip color for a gradient look. You need to exfoliate well before using it. If you apply it over foundation to neutralize your natural lip color, the color shows up well! Also, I want to use this as a moisturizing base, but I'm still trying to figure out how. I'm considering layering it over a thick coat of lip balm...
