ConsI bought this for occasional exfoliation, but the particles are smaller than sugar - almost like flour. It's ineffective for removing dead skin cells. What's worse, it doesn't even lather well. The amount in each packet feels insufficient for my face, leaving me feeling unsatisfied after washing. The value for money is really poor.

I've been a huge fan of COSRX's Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, so I had high expectations for this product. To sum it up, I'm extremely satisfied! Honestly, I used to only care about toners and emulsions as part of my skincare routine, thinking all cleansers were pretty much the same. But now, I bow down to COSRX... Let's start with its cleansing effectiveness. I typically use Wake Make concealer and Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation for my base makeup. I first remove it with The Saem's cleansing water, then follow up with this product for my second cleanse. After washing, I wiped my face with a pad to check for any residue, and it was spotless! While results may vary, I'm very pleased with its cleansing power. Secondly, I was skeptical about powder cleansers, thinking they wouldn't lather well. But I was pleasantly surprised! After wetting my face, I poured some powder into my hand, added water to the container in about a 1:1 ratio, and rubbed it between my palms. It lathered up nicely without much effort. Third, the portability is fantastic! It's small and individually packaged, making it perfect to toss a couple in your makeup bag. During exam season, I often stay at friends' houses, and since I'm recovering from blemishes, I'm cautious about using others' products. It's so convenient to just bring a couple of these, use them, and toss the empty packets. Lastly, whether it's thanks to this product or other changes in my routine, I haven't experienced any new blemishes! In fact, my skin has been improving so much that people have been complimenting me on it.
ConsAs someone who usually uses gel cleansers, I didn't mind the lather, but if you prefer a rich, foamy cleanser, this might not be for you. While it does lather, I wouldn't describe it as luxuriously foamy. Also, it might take a few tries to get the water-to-powder ratio right. You'll get the hang of it with practice, but be aware that if you use too little water or pile the powder in one spot, it can turn into a paste-like consistency instead of foam. In that case, you'll need to spend more time working it into a lather.

I've been using this product every morning and night. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, so I've always stuck to mild, low pH foam cleansers. Even with products that have all green-grade ingredients, anything that leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean tends to dry me out and emphasize dead skin cells - even though I have oily skin! My skin's oil and moisture balance gets thrown off completely, so once I tried a low pH cleanser, I couldn't go back to anything else. The cleansers I've enjoyed using are, in order of preference: Innisfree Blueberry Foam Cleanser < Etude House Soon Jung Foam < Cynic Avocado Foam Cleanser I've settled on the Cynic one now, and it's my holy grail! What I look for in a foam cleanser: 1. Low pH formula 2. Rich, creamy lather 3. Doesn't leave skin feeling too squeaky clean 4. Good value for money I love the Cynic cleanser because it creates a dense foam, leaves my skin feeling gentle and clean without any residue or slippery feeling. Naturally, I compared this product to my current favorite, but I was still quite satisfied using it! My first impression was that the portion size is spot-on! It's perfect for a single use. With some products I've used before, there was often too much, so I'd try to save it for a second use, but it would either dissolve due to humidity or spill. I liked that no measuring was needed with this one. Secondly, I was excited to try a low pH powder cleanser, as it was my first time. It's lightweight, conveniently portioned for single use, and won't get damp, making it great for travel. Decanting foam cleansers for trips is always a hassle... Plus, changing environments can lead to dead skin buildup or blemishes, so it's best to use products you trust or special care items. I was thrilled to receive this product! It'll be perfect for my upcoming trip, taking up minimal space. The cleansing power is pretty good too! My cleansing routine involves: Using a separate lip and eye makeup remover Always double cleansing with an oil cleanser first, then foam I always use an oil cleanser first, even if I'm bare-faced at home but wearing sunscreen. This removes most of the grime, but I always follow up with a foam cleanser to ensure I've removed any remaining residue. This product works well as a second-step cleanser. And I liked that it didn't leave my skin feeling too squeaky clean! After cleansing, my skin felt slightly smoother, similar to after using a gentle exfoliant! It's not an intense effect, but I think with consistent use, it could be quite nice! It wasn't irritating at all, and I didn't experience any blemishes while using it. I think if you have similar skin to mine or sensitive skin and a similar cleansing routine, you'd be quite satisfied with this product!
ConsFirst off, being a powder cleanser, it doesn't create an extremely rich lather. I always use a foam net with my cleansers! With a foam net, it does create a decent amount of foam, but it's a thin lather that dissipates quickly. If you try to leave it on as a bubble mask for about a minute, it's almost gone. But I think this is characteristic of powder cleansers! While it's great for travel, I wish it also came in a single container option to reduce single-use packaging. We need to consider the environment too! Using individual sachets at home can be a bit of a hassle and creates more waste.
TipI recommend using a foam net! It can help compensate for the powder cleanser's characteristic of creating less foam. The attached photos show in order: The cute single-use packaging The foam net I use (from Daiso) The foam applied to my face immediately after creating it The foam after leaving it on for a 1-minute bubble mask, showing how it's dissipated
