I bought this product a while ago based on a YouTuber's recommendation, and I found it to be a decent, no-frills option. The consistency is slightly viscous but still fluid, which makes it absorb well. I usually apply two or three drops, and thanks to its excellent spreadability, that small amount is enough to cover my whole face. Interestingly, if you apply too much, it can leave a sticky residue on the skin. After trying a mugwort product from another brand and loving it, I thought mugwort suited my skin well. So I decided to try this one too. However, I couldn't really tell if it had any soothing effects. While it felt gentle on my skin, I was disappointed that I didn't see any direct benefits. - yu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinOct 18, 2024
Nope, nothing good here. Cheap price? Well, I did hope for a moment of calm since it's labeled as 'calming', but that's about it. Using this product undid all the progress from my dermatologist visits. I have an important day tomorrow, and now I'm worried sick because my skin is completely irritated. To top it off, they sent me a product with only 6 months left before expiration. Ha! I'm never buying from Isntree again. Pro tip: Don't buy it at all! - rl***********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedAug 27, 2024
It's great for calming the skin! I use it every morning and it absorbs really well. Although I received it as a gift, the price is a bit wicked. However, it's effective enough to justify the cost. - a9*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 14, 2024
I used about two bottles of this product when it first came out ages ago. The fact that it's still on the market after more than 5 years must mean it's popular with others too, right? The mugwort extract was definitely great for calming blemishes. The hydration was also decent. If mugwort works well for you, give this a try! There's nothing particularly bad... maybe the price? It would be nice if it were a bit more affordable. - jk********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 20, 2024
It works even better when used with mugwort cream! I haven't had any blemishes at all since I started using it. As someone with dry skin, I find the hydration a bit lacking... The quantity is also a bit disappointing... And it seems a bit pricey for the amount you get... For those with dry skin, I'd recommend using this alongside other deeply hydrating products. In summer, it was fine to use on its own. - ch*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessApr 19, 2024
As someone with sensitive skin, I managed to use up the entire bottle without experiencing any significant irritation or discomfort. However, I can't say it had any standout benefits either. It was just an okay product that I used without any issues. I used this before it was reformulated, so the glass bottle made it quite heavy. While I personally didn't mind the scent, I think it might be hit or miss for some people. - ma******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 8, 2024
It's incredibly hydrating despite its lightweight texture! You can use it year-round, except in winter. There's hardly any scent, which I'm quite pleased with. I haven't found any downsides yet. I'm thoroughly satisfied with the generous amount, gentle formula, and how it keeps my skin hydrated. - kt********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 4, 2024
It seems to apply lightly, which is nice. I'd recommend it for those who respond well to mugwort. Mugwort doesn't seem to suit me particularly well, as I don't really feel a calming effect... - wi********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 20, 2024
Love the ingredients list. The texture is rich in hydration and nourishment, yet not at all sticky - impressive! Leaves skin feeling moisturized and comfortable. Has an unpleasant odor similar to body odor. Unfortunately, the smell lingers for a long time. I apply a generous amount of this essence to my face and use a device to help it absorb. Then, I mix the essence with Avène Thermal Spring Water mist on a rubber ball, soak a thin cotton pad with the mixture, place it on my face, and apply a modeling mask over it. When I remove everything, my skin is left glowing and superbly hydrated. - sm*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 14, 2024
A true hero product for those pesky blemishes. Use it year-round, adjusting the amount as needed, and it won't dry you out or make you greasy. I've gone through at least 8 bottles! It's on the pricey side... The scent might be a bit off-putting for some, but I personally don't mind it. If you find it too rich even when using a small amount in summer, try blotting papers! It really nails the oil and moisture balance.
