You're paying for the brand name. It's a nice little splurge for occasional indulgence. If this exact product came out without the brand name, it would be just average.

A great item to pull out of your bag. The lipstick color payoff is decent and it looks luxurious. Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long.

I fell in love with the gold pearl I saw at the department store and bought it, but when I apply it to my lips, I can't really tell it's a gold pearl haha.
