Purchase price: Olive Young sale price 8,300 won 2. Skin tone: Close to summer cool tone I have a cool complexion. My lips tend to have a lot of dead skin cells, so without lip balm, I constantly peel them like shedding skin. That's why I prefer using moisturizing tints or really creamy, soft lipsticks instead of regular ones. It was the last day of the sale, so I went to take a look. The case was cute, and I liked the color, so I just bought it. 1) Color Many people say it suits cool tones, and they're right. I have a cool complexion and usually use colors close to deep pink shades. This Cherry Comics color is in a similar range. Comparing it to products I already own, the most similar colors are: <BBIA Yerigap, Chanel Rouge 158> There's a big price difference between these products, but I either received them as gifts or bought them because I fell in love with the color, haha. However, when applied heavily, it becomes a bit more purple compared to BBIA Yerigap. If you apply it thickly, it can look a bit tacky and becomes closer to Chanel Rouge 158! Although it looks quite different when tested in-store versus at home, it still perfectly suits cool tones. It's pretty! When I use the MAC lipstick I received as a gift, I always carry lip balm due to the dead skin issue. This Lilybyred lipstick has a similar texture, but it seems less drying than MAC. BBIA Yerigap is moisturizing right after application, but once it dries, it emphasizes dead skin and cracks. I still use it because the color is pretty, just with extra care. I plan to use this product consistently with proper lip care too. If you don't apply it heavily and just dab it on for a hint of color, it's fine. 3. Appearance The appearance is cute, as you can see. The case even has a soft, powdery feel to it, haha.
ConsThere aren't really any downsides. The emphasis on dead skin cells is less compared to other matte lipsticks, so it's okay. However, when using it, you should apply it with just one swipe. If you apply it thickly multiple times... it's not great, haha. I occasionally use Chanel Rouge 158, which I received as a gift, but I only dab it on once or twice because it looks tacky if applied multiple times. This one is pretty if you dab it on, but it looks tacky if applied heavily.
TipSince it's a matte lipstick, it's best to start with good lip balm care and then apply it with a light dabbing motion for the best results.
