  I bought this along with a Houttuynia Cordata toner because my skin was exploding with acne and excess oil. I was hoping the Centella Asiatica extract would help calm my skin. While it wasn't amazing, the lightweight water-based formula makes it easy to apply.

  Cons

  Surprisingly, this felt more irritating than the Houttuynia Cordata product. While I didn't feel anything with the Houttuynia, this one had a slight burning sensation. I didn't notice any calming effects either.

I've had good experiences with Centella Asiatica before, which is why I chose this product. I've been using it 2-3 times a week after cleansing, applying it lightly. The texture is water-like and lightweight, and it absorbs fairly quickly. It has a subtle herbal scent, reminiscent of traditional medicine, which is typical of Centella products. What I really liked was that it seemed to have a soothing effect on my blemishes.

  The scent might be hit or miss for some people. I didn't notice any dramatic effects on my blemish-prone skin, which was a bit disappointing. I wonder if I'd see better results with more consistent use. Still, it did have some calming effects.
