  Pros

  It lathers up nicely and leaves my face feeling squeaky clean after washing! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I absolutely love the finish it gives. (I'm already on my nth bottle...)

  Cons

  If you have dry skin, you might experience some deep dryness, unfortunately.

  Pros

  It leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed. It removes makeup effectively and gives that squeaky-clean sensation!

  Cons

  It seems to make my skin too dry. I tend to have deep dryness, and this doesn't seem to address that issue well...

  Tip

  Use it only for evening cleansing and opt for a low-pH cleansing foam in the morning!

  Pros

  As a member of The Hwahae Testers, I'm sharing my review (6/30-7/8). I've been jotting down my thoughts in a notepad daily while using the product (see photos for reference). My skin type: Combination skin with severe cystic acne in the U-zone and closed comedones. I'm currently on sebum-regulating medication for folliculitis. After cleansing, I use Bring Green Tea Tree Toner, Aestura Emulsion (dermatologist-prescribed), Estrovan ointment, and cica cream on scars. I only use sunscreen, no makeup. For someone like me with a compromised skin barrier in the U-zone, I saw positive results in my T-zone where my skin barrier is intact. Even during my menstrual cycle, sebum control in the T-zone improved, preventing new blemishes from forming. While it didn't affect the deep cystic acne in my U-zone, it surprisingly helped quickly calm new inflammatory acne. However, after using the product, I noticed some closed comedones, possibly due to an imbalance in the oil and moisture levels of my usual skincare routine. This issue resolved with extra hydration. The cleansing power was sufficient for me, as I only use mineral sunscreen. Although it doesn't lather much, it wasn't inconvenient to use. The finish feels powdery, which I think would be great for those with oily skin. Personally, I found it a bit drying, but I believe it's suitable for combination skin types during summer. In conclusion, I didn't see significant results for my severe acne. However, please keep in mind that my case is quite extreme and rare when considering this review.

  Even for my combination skin, the deep dryness was more intense than expected. I think it might be challenging for those with dry skin to use. The tightness after cleansing was so severe that I had to increase my moisturizing routine compared to before using this product. The scent was also worse than I anticipated. Despite being fine with tea tree oil, houttuynia cordata, and centella asiatica scents, I found the artificial herbal smell of this product somewhat off-putting. It's as if they tried to create a natural scent but failed. I recommend those sensitive to fragrances to carefully consider before use.

  Tip

  I would highly recommend this product for oily skin types prone to superficial blemishes. Although it didn't work for me, my family member with oily skin and mainly surface-level acne saw great results. Those with deep, cystic acne likely won't see any effects, and individuals with dry skin might find it too drying.

  As one of The Hwahae Testers, I'm sharing my review after trying this product! First off, I'm a man in my early 20s with combination skin leaning towards dry, and I'm super sensitive. My face easily turns red with just any sunscreen, and I occasionally get blemishes. I'm still experimenting with different foam cleansers, not sticking to just one. - The scent is... well, it's hard to describe, but it has a slightly tangy aroma. It's very subtle - just a hint of tanginess! I usually avoid strong-smelling cosmetics, but this one didn't bother me at all. - As a guy, apart from toner and emulsion, sunscreen for outdoor activities is pretty much my entire skincare routine. Due to my sensitive skin, I double cleanse with oil and foam when I use sunscreen to avoid irritation. Whether it's the double cleansing or this product, it definitely seems to remove sunscreen effectively. - This cleanser produces a rich, creamy lather when you work it up! It seems to foam up more generously compared to other products. - Recently, I've been neglecting my skincare routine and noticed some acne popping up. So, I switched to gentler toners and emulsions (and took some prescribed medication). Using this product along with my new routine, I'm not sure which exactly helped, but my skin hasn't broken out further, and the existing blemishes seem to be improving slightly.

  Cons

  The downside is... maybe because I have dry-leaning skin, but after washing, my face feels quite tight and dry. There's also a bit of a white cast, of course! Applying toner, emulsion, and essence right after helps, but still... I had to apply my skincare products immediately after cleansing due to the tightness. I'm not particularly skincare-savvy and have only recently started trying different products, so my knowledge is limited. I'm just sharing my personal experience!

  Tip

  For those with dry skin, you might want to follow up with a good hydrating moisturizer to combat the dryness!
