  Pros

  Love how it leaves my skin feeling matte. On days I skip sunscreen, I just apply this before heading to work. It's a must-have for extremely oily skin.

  Cons

  1. It doesn't instantly mattify upon application. It takes about 3-5 minutes to achieve that matte finish. 2. Applying this doesn't completely stop oil production. However, it does delay the time it takes for oil to surface!

  Tip

  If you have oily skin, you should definitely give this a try. It's relatively affordable for a Kiehl's product.

  I highly recommend this for those with oily or very oily skin! I have neither oily nor dry skin, but I always used to wake up with an oily feeling after applying toner and emulsion. With this product, however, I wake up feeling fresh! It seems effective for managing sebum production. Even the scent of this product seems determined to eliminate almost all excess oil... It has a slight alcohol smell, but it appears to be effective for skin with excessive sebum production and acne-prone skin~

  Cons

  I used this product for a week, and since I bought it to manage sebum, I only used this product because I was afraid that using other products would cause oiliness to return... After using it for a week, my face started to crack ㅜㅜ It's because of the dryness, so I'm planning to apply other products lightly as well! While it's true that it helps with sebum and acne, there hasn't been any dramatic change so far...

  Pros

  I really liked how my face felt soothed and velvety soft when I applied it. The generous amount in the container was also satisfying.

  Cons

  I didn't particularly notice any reduction in blemishes. This might be a personal issue, but sometimes when I apply this, other creams don't go on well afterwards. When I try to apply them, they tend to clump up like dead skin cells.

  Pros

  It has a refreshing feel. And right after applying, there's an instant sensation of extreme dryness... Perhaps due to the strong alcohol content, it gives a disinfecting impression. There's definitely a feeling of cleanliness, and it seems to really grip onto sebum and pores.

  Cons

  It's incredibly drying. Seriously so. The refreshing sensation is a bit too intense, so when wiping with a cotton pad, the alcohol scent makes it hard to breathe and I have to keep my eyes tightly shut... It's excessively irritating. And if you apply anything on top of it, it pills up like dead skin cells, which was both fascinating and frustrating.

  Tip

  I've heard that pilling occurs when there's dead skin cells or when the product isn't properly absorbed... If that's the case, I must have an abundance of dead skin cells...

  As someone with oily, sensitive, and acne-prone skin, I was on the hunt for a great skincare product. I'm so glad I discovered this! It's truly amazing - my blemishes have calmed down, and my complexion feels fresh. Usually, my oily skin would be super shiny when I wake up, but now it feels pleasantly matte. While it might cause some pilling with makeup, I love how it keeps my skin feeling fresh for hours.

  Cons

  1. I'm using this with the Blue Herbal Moisturizer from the same line. The toner smells like menthol when applied, and the emulsion has this indescribable factory-like scent. Thankfully, the smell dissipates after a while. 2. It feels quite drying upon application, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you have very oily skin. 3. Due to its drying effect, it can cause pilling with sunscreen or BB cream when applying makeup.

  Tip

  To combat the pilling issue when applying makeup, I mixed it with my BB cream and moisturizer. It applies much more smoothly this way.

  Perfect for those sweltering summer days when your face feels like an oil slick. I used to go through 2-3 oil blotting sheets a day, but after using this, I'm down to just one. It keeps my skin feeling fresh and matte all day. It's definitely suited for those of us with super oily skin.

  1. Unfortunately, if you try to apply other skincare products after this one, they tend to pill and flake off like dead skin cells. Not a great look! 2. While the powdery ingredients do absorb oil initially, by afternoon the inevitable oil production combined with makeup creates a sticky mess on your skin.

  1. I'll probably limit this to my T-zone during summer. When it comes to oil control, this product is hard to beat. 2. Highly recommended for men. 3.
