True to its name, it's micro... The smallest particles I've ever experienced in any product. My skin isn't usually sensitive, but this is incredibly painful! The particles are extremely small yet somehow feel coarse... However, after using it once, it feels like a layer of dead skin cells has been removed. You can really feel how clean your skin becomes! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 6, 2017
After rinsing, my skin does feel softer. It does remove dead skin cells to some extent. Compared to other exfoliators, this one is incredibly painful to use. Those with super sensitive skin should absolutely avoid it. Scrubbing your face with a washcloth would be less uncomfortable, honestly. It's very irritating to the skin. Despite the discomfort, I didn't notice much effectiveness. While it somewhat removes dead skin cells on cheeks and chin, it doesn't exfoliate the nose area at all. Even after using it, I still had visible flakes. Plus, being a Kiehl's product, it's quite expensive. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinDec 19, 2016
It really feels like it's cleaning out even the dead skin cells between your pores. The next day, makeup applies quite well, and after scrubbing, your skin becomes incredibly smooth. It's really painful. I wouldn't recommend it for those with super sensitive skin. It feels like you're scraping your face on asphalt. The key seems to be applying it gently and quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 18, 2016
You can feel the fine particles working. It gives a real sense of exfoliating dead skin cells, leaving your skin smooth after use. Due to the fine particles, those with sensitive skin might find it a bit irritating. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 10, 2016
It seems to exfoliate dead skin cells effectively, and my skin feels softer after use The price is high, and the granules make it unsuitable for sensitive skin - ho**********Normal SkinSensitive SkinJun 12, 2016
I have oily skin, which means my skin sheds a lot and produces excess sebum. I've tried many products, but this one is the best. I'm still using it, but the ingredients... oh my, it's so expensive! After checking Hwahae, I feel like throwing away everything else I've been using. This seems to be the most expensive among all my skincare products. It was so good, but alas... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 17, 2016
It felt like I had a professional peeling treatment at a dermatologist's office. It was great for removing dead skin cells and blackheads. It's a bit strong. If you leave it on for too long, your skin can become red. I wouldn't recommend it for those with super sensitive skin. I found that gently massaging it on my T-zone for about 30 seconds without water, then rinsing, effectively removed blackheads. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 13, 2016
Great for removing dead skin cells! It leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. The effectiveness is really quite good. Use it two or three times a week, making sure to rinse thoroughly with cold water, and always apply sunscreen afterwards! That's how you know it's working. It definitely helps even out skin texture! As mentioned above, the effectiveness might be a bit too intense, which isn't great. I don't think it's particularly good for the skin to force it like this. The ingredients aren't that great either... You should only scrub for under a minute. If you go for about a minute, it's too irritating to the skin... I tried it for about a minute and my face felt like it was burning! You absolutely must wash with cold water to calm it down! Quick scrub! Cold water! Be sure to moisturize well and apply sunscreen!
