I keep coming back to this product. It's reliable, yet unmatched in its category. It provides a perfect balance of lightweight hydration that's not too light. The best part is how you can instantly feel your skin becoming soft and supple. It has a slightly silky finish, but there's a hint of it sitting on the surface. You need to pat it in for a while. Mix it with panthenol ointment and you've got a barrier cream that puts others to shame. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 19, 2023
Great for acne-prone combination dehydrated skin. Seems like an excellent cream for fall and winter use. In summer, it feels too heavy on the skin. I switch to Papa Recipe serum during the warmer months. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2023
I'm using this along with the Madecassoside Ointment from Papa Recipe. The next day, my skin feels smoother and more hydrated. It doesn't absorb quickly and feels like it sits on top of the skin. To be honest, I bought it for blemishes, but I haven't noticed significant improvements yet. I'll continue using it and update my review later. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 15, 2022
It absorbs quickly without sitting on top of the skin, leaving it feeling hydrated. I have acne-prone oily skin but experienced no blemishes. It feels a bit heavy in summer, so I use it in spring, fall, and winter. Especially in winter, applying it generously works wonders! It's too heavy for summer use. When you sweat even a little, it becomes slippery and doesn't absorb well. Use it in all seasons except summer. Since using this, my acne pigmentation has significantly faded. In my family, my mom with normal skin and my sister with extremely dry skin tried mine and now we all use it together. It's especially great when you're too lazy to apply multiple products after washing up before bed - just slather this on and you won't feel dry until morning. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2022
This night care product has been the one I've stuck with for almost 10 years, despite having sensitive skin and dealing with milia. I've tried so many highly-recommended products, but I always end up coming back to this one... About 5 years ago, I used it for a year, then went through a period of trying other things, and about 2 years ago, I started using it again for around 6 months. Since last year, I've been using it consistently for about 2-3 years total, and it's been the best for me. It's really not suitable to use as a heavy, oily daytime moisturizer, especially in the summer. But as a nighttime care product from fall through spring, this is when it really shines. Personally, in the dry winter, I'll sometimes apply a small amount before makeup as well. A jar lasts me around 1-2 months, and it's really helped improve my acne scarring and milia. When I first bought it 5 years ago, I didn't see much effect, so I got frustrated. But I ended up finishing that jar, and then the effects became clear, so I repurchased. After that, anytime I've strayed and tried other things, I always come right back to this. I started seeing results from using about half a jar to a full jar. With consistent use, my skin texture also improves dramatically. I'll apply it generously at night, like a mask, and in the morning my skin is so soft and supple - it almost feels a shame to wash it off before makeup, so I'll sometimes leave a thick layer on. Unless it's during my period or I'm under extreme stress, I hardly get any new breakouts, and even if I do, they're very small and don't develop into big ones. It does take a bit longer to absorb, especially if the skin is cool or still has some moisture on it. It can feel a bit heavy on the skin, particularly in humid summer weather or for very oily skin types. I've heard that using it together with a medicated spot treatment can have a great synergistic effect, but I'm not sure about that personally. Using lukewarm water to prevent the skin from getting too cool, and thoroughly wiping away any remaining toner or essence with a cotton pad before applying, helps it absorb much better. You can also use it as a rich, mask-like treatment by applying a generous layer! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 7, 2021
It seems to have a brightening effect and might temporarily reduce the appearance of acne scars a bit. It feels like it sits on top of the skin and has an oily texture. I didn't notice any significant results while using it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinAug 13, 2020
The texture is just right - not too thick or too light. It absorbs beautifully and provides excellent hydration! The ingredients are gentle, and even with my sensitive skin, I've been using it without any blemishes. If you apply too much, it can feel like it's sitting on top of the skin rather than absorbing. Since it's not in a pump or tube format, hygiene could be an issue if you don't have a spatula. Instead of dipping your fingers directly into the product, it would be better to use a separate spatula. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinJun 9, 2020
When I applied it, I really felt like my skin texture improved a lot! It felt quite oily, or should I say it seemed to sit on top of my skin rather than absorbing well. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMar 18, 2020
I've tried all the famous products, but they were just okay. After using this, my milia and acne scars completely cleared up! It feels a bit like it's sitting on top of the skin after application. Also, after about a month, I didn't notice any particular effects anymore. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2020
It does function as a moisturizer to some extent. However, I can't really pinpoint any unique advantages of Papa Recipe's product. I thought maybe I was applying too much, so I tried using less the next day. But it just sat on top of my skin, causing tightness. Then it started to pill, coming off like dead skin cells. It feels like only about 5% of what I applied actually absorbed into my skin. This experience makes me once again resolve not to trust social media promotions.
