Pigmentation, adherence, longevity, and packaging design! What more can I say? As someone who's been a fan of Huda Beauty since before Sephora carried it, I highly recommend this lipstick. It's a must-try for those who avoid matte lipsticks due to flaking, emphasizing dead skin cells, or looking dry! Similar to Shu Uemura's Supreme Matte lipstick, it has a velvety finish, but with better packaging. No more hassle of cleaning lipstick marks off a transparent cap like with the Supreme Matte. This product has a magnetic closure that snaps shut perfectly, and if you twist the lipstick down properly, it won't smudge inside. While other brands offer great matte lipsticks too, this one stands out for its true-to-tube color payoff. The shade 'Full Party' has a strong purple undertone that might look bold. It may not be an everyday choice for those who prefer natural makeup, but it's perfect for a change of mood, autumn statement looks, or layering. As someone who prefers unscented products, I find the fragrance slightly disappointing. The color stains well, so thorough cleansing is necessary. Usually, to prevent a dry appearance, I apply plenty of lip balm before use. However, I sometimes enjoy creating a super matte look as I find the way it fills in lip lines quite sexy. I remove dead skin cells by applying oil and rubbing with a cotton swab, then use a thick concealer to erase lip borders before applying this product.
