It's ideal for those who want to wear red but find full-on red too bold. It's especially flattering for cool-toned individuals, making your complexion appear more radiant. Longevity: True to its 'tattoo tint' name, this product doesn't budge even when eating. For those with lips that tend to lose color quickly, you can wear this alone or use it as a base layer under another lip product for extended wear. Packaging: The sleek black case with a simple color indicator is a refreshing departure from Etude's typical pink designs. It's clean and sophisticated. Texture: This tint has a unique formulation. It applies like a hydrating cream but gradually transforms into a matte finish while maintaining a subtle glow. It glides on smoothly without any patchiness.
ConsScent: The fragrance is a major drawback. While it's not an unpleasant cosmetic smell, the strong artificial vanilla scent can be off-putting and may deter frequent use. Product Dispensing: The applicator releases enough product for full lip coverage, which can be excessive since this tint looks best when applied sparingly to the inner lips. It's inconvenient to have to wipe off excess product each time. Transfer: Despite setting to a matte finish, it remains slightly tacky. This causes issues with hair sticking to lips on windy days and significant transfer onto masks. Staining: While the long-lasting stain is impressive, be aware that the cherry red color evolves into a hot pink stain over time. This could be unflattering for some skin tones. Emphasis on Dry Patches: The tint applies smoothly on well-moisturized lips but dramatically accentuates any dry patches or dead skin cells. Skip this product if you've forgotten your nightly lip balm routine.
