Pros
My small bumpy acne has completely disappeared. This seems to be a cream that doesn't clog the pores of oily skin. I use this cream all throughout spring, summer, and fall. My small bumps really have vanished.
Cons
It's quite irritating and stings. Strangely though, I didn't get any breakouts.

It helps control sebum production and has reduced my acne! Especially in the summer, it seems to really balance my oil and moisture levels.
Cons
In the winter, it's a bit drying, so I mainly use it when my sebum production is excessive.

It's great for oil control. My overall acne has significantly decreased as the oiliness has reduced!
Cons
It's way too matte. I feel like the moisture is evaporating. It might be fine for summer, but in this transitional weather, it's a bit too harsh and drying. Since it's a powerful gel type, it's best to first hydrate with a toner and serum, then mix this with a moderately heavy cream to apply.
Tip
It's a bit heavy, so mixing it with a cream I don't use much works great! The product seems better than I expected. At first, I thought I'd have to throw it away, but after using it for about 3-4 days, my complexion has brightened, my acne has subsided, and my oiliness has decreased! I recommend this for both dry and oily skin types.

This is truly a must-have product in my life... I have very severe acne. Specifically, I have troublesome skin, oily and dehydrated skin (sebum-deficient), sensitive skin, and even skin inflammation. But thanks to my mother's recommendation, I've been using the La Roche-Posay Effaclar line consistently. First of all, this is really, really good for acne... I can apply it lightly, and if I apply a lot before bed, my acne will be diminished and my skin condition becomes so nice the next day If you use it consistently, your troubles will improve a lot... This is my holy grail, buy it twice or three times!
Cons
Well, as an oily-skinned person, it's a bit greasy for me to use in the summer But since it calms down my acne, I just use this along with a toner in the summer

I can really see my pores shrinking and the acne that was about to come out seems to be going back in.

The ingredients may not be suitable for me, but even though I apply it consistently, I sometimes feel a slight stinging sensation, so it doesn't feel like a gentle product.

Since it's the matte version, it definitely has no oiliness, so it was good to apply even on oily skin. It also seemed to have a slightly calming effect on acne.
