It's convenient to carry around and has a twist-up mechanism where the lead comes up when you turn the bottom. The black shade is great for creating intense eye looks, and it has long-lasting power without smudging. It works well even over eyeshadow, with a nice application feel. I'm using the pencil type as it's more convenient than brush types, and I love how it cuts down my morning makeup routine time. I wish the lead was a bit thinner for more precise application. While I'm satisfied and using it well, it can be difficult to remove. I recommend using an eye makeup remover or cleansing oil. It's smooth and smudge-proof, which was unexpected given the lack of reviews. The pencil has a thick lead, but there's no sharpener on the back end, so it becomes blunt over time.
