I started using this without much expectation, but it turned out to be surprisingly great and suited my skin well! 1. Texture: It's white and not transparent, so I initially thought it might be sticky. However, when applied, it absorbs smoothly without any stickiness, leaving a soft finish. I really love how gentle it feels on the skin after application! It's not sticky at all, yet provides enough hydration to prevent deep dryness, making my skin feel soft both inside and out. It's become my holy grail cream! 2. Design: The packaging looks so pretty on my vanity! Its clean and beautiful design makes me want to reach for it even more. 3. Perfect for autumn: It's neither too rich nor too light, making it ideal for this time of year! I'm so happy that I'm not experiencing any deep dryness during this seasonal change. 4. Suitable for all skin types: It's obviously great for dry and normal skin, and as we're transitioning into winter, I think it would work well for oily skin too! 5. Makeup application: When I apply makeup after using the Queen's Guard Moisture Cream, my cosmetics glide on smoothly over my even skin, which is fantastic! It might not be able to combat extreme dryness in the dead of winter, unfortunately. Don't use your fingers to apply it, use a spatula instead! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 4, 2019
I was lucky enough to be selected for The Hwahae Testers, so here's my review! Pros 1. Texture (Rating: 5/5) The consistency is just right - not too runny, not too thick. It has a whipped cream-like texture that feels amazing when applied. Pros 2. Absorption (Rating: 5/5) The ads weren't lying about how well it absorbs! It's seriously impressive. I accidentally applied a generous amount at first, but it didn't feel greasy at all. Instead, it quickly sank into my skin! Cons 1. Rich feel For someone like me with super oily and sensitive skin, this is a significant drawback. It feels more rich than hydrating. While my skin feels matte in the morning, as time passes, my natural oils start to surface. Because of this, my blemishes haven't been calming down lately. Cons 2. Fragrance It's been a while since I've used a strongly scented product, so I was a bit startled when I first opened the lid. This is definitely going to be a love-it-or-hate-it situation! I personally prefer fragrance-free products, which is why I'm listing this as a con. If you enjoy floral scents, you might not mind it at all! (My boyfriend actually really likes products with this kind of scent) Since I have extremely oily skin, I usually prefer matte foundations or cushions. However, I wanted to try a dewy skin look, so I mixed this cream with my foundation! That day, many of my friends asked what I used for my base makeup. It made me feel so proud! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 3, 2019
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers~ My skin type is combination with some oily areas. I have some deep dryness in my U-zone, but it's not severe. Let me break it down into 3 main points: 1. Texture and application At first touch, it felt like a light emulsion. It applies smoothly and feels very hydrating. After it's fully absorbed, my skin feels moisturized and firm. It gives a dewy, plump look! 2. Fragrance and ingredients Looking at the ingredients, it contains over 40 naturally-derived components and skin-loving hydrators like hyaluronic acid. If you're sensitive to shea butter or natural oils, or if you have oily skin, you might want to look into it more closely before use. I have somewhat sensitive skin, but I didn't experience any major blemishes. While some people love the scent, I personally found it too strong. It's so intense that I initially thought it was a body lotion or hair product rather than a face cream. Despite the product being great, I struggled to get used to the fragrance every time I applied it. 3. Overall impression As I mentioned, apart from the scent, this product is fantastic. I use it generously for my nighttime routine, and during the day, I apply a small amount as a base. It creates a smooth canvas for makeup application. I'm really enjoying it! It's a great product! The fragrance is disappointing. The scent is really a letdown. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2019
I have combination skin that's prone to dehydration and acne. Currently, I'm using Nacific Stress Zero Toner and Dr.G Red Blemish Cream. This cream has a rich texture - when you spread it, it's so elastic that your fingers slightly stick to your skin when you pull them away. Despite its consistency, it absorbs surprisingly quickly! But don't worry, it's not one of those fast-absorbing products that leave your skin feeling dry. As someone sensitive to scents, I'd describe this as having a floral, typical cosmetic smell. While it's not overwhelming during application, the lingering scent on your hands might be bothersome if you're not a fan of fragrances like me. Those who enjoy this type of scent will probably love it, though! Initially, it feels light like a soothing gel, but as you spread it, you can feel the richness, and it applies with a nourishing, elastic texture. Because of this, it felt a bit heavy on my oily skin during summer. I tried combining it with other hydrating creams and serums, but whether it was due to the fragrance not agreeing with my skin or the product being too heavy, I started noticing some small bumps and had to stop using it. Once I discontinued use, the bumps stopped appearing. I might give it another try in fall or winter as part of my night care routine, but I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin. I've heard that when using a light moisturizer, you should follow up with a slightly oilier cream to create a barrier that prevents moisture loss. This cream could be perfect for that purpose! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 2, 2019
The Hwahae Testers review: Texture and application: The texture is like an emulsion! It's lightweight with just the right amount of richness. It's perfect to apply after toner and before a heavier cream! It absorbs well, so for two weeks I applied it before bed and before makeup. Amount: I used it generously not just on my face but also on stretch marks, and there's still so much left! The amount is really generous, so you can use it liberally without worry. Ingredients: This is why I applied for the event. Even though I have blemish-prone, sensitive skin, I didn't get any major breakouts! While the ingredients may not be perfect, I think the composition is really quite good. The strong scent that others mention: Personally, I didn't find the smell unpleasant and actually liked it, but it was so strong that it was a bit overwhelming! The scent could be very divisive, so you should carefully consider whether it's not too much for you before purchasing. Makeup may break down depending on skin type: At first, I thought the oil and moisture balance was good for makeup application, but by the time I got home, my concealer would always look a bit patchy. For my skin type, it seems too heavy to use under makeup, which is disappointing. Personally, I found it best to apply this cream after toner and a light essence or serum, followed by a thin layer of a heavier moisturizer. Also, as I mentioned above, it's great for keeping stretch marks hydrated too! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2019
The Hwahae Testers' Review 1. Absorption No stickiness at all! It seems to absorb into the skin with a nice, firm texture. 2. Moisturizing power Even with just a small amount, the hydration is excellent! 3. Scent It has a familiar scent, reminiscent of a baby emulsion I've smelled before! 4. Quantity The amount is really generous! 5. It doesn't cause makeup to pill! As I have oily skin, there's some shine after application. They claim it has a brightening effect, but... there's none at all! While the B*ad moisturizer feels light, this product feels heavy after application. The texture is closer to a body emulsion. I'd recommend it more for fall and winter rather than summer. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSep 2, 2019
The initial impression of the product is a slight richness. The texture isn't thick, and for a cream, it's a bit on the thinner side. It has more viscosity than a milk emulsion. When used before bed at night, contrary to the initial rich feeling, it absorbs well. The skin surface doesn't feel sticky or slippery. I applied just toner and this cream before sleeping, and my skin wasn't dry the next morning. 1. Being in a jar format, I was concerned about hygiene. 2. It's quite runny for a cream, so it tends to get messy on the lid when opening and closing, which was inconvenient. 3. The scent! It might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation when it comes to personal preference. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2019
The texture is remarkably similar to Johnson's Baby lotion that I used as a child. The finish is almost identical, right down to how it leaves your skin glowing and soft after it's fully absorbed. It has the perfect weight for use in three seasons, excluding summer. I appreciate the packaging and volume. It comes in a clean, lightweight, opaque white plastic container, which gives the impression that they prioritized the amount of product over fancy packaging. Regarding hydration, it feels a bit greasy when first applied, but once it's fully absorbed, it leaves behind a healthy-looking glow. It's so similar to Johnson's Baby lotion! You could almost call it 'Johnson's Adult'. The fragrance is overwhelmingly strong. It's like a more intense, emulsion version of the scent from my mother's cosmetics when I was young. When applied to the face, the fragrance keeps wafting up, which can be distracting. It's even stronger than Johnson's Baby lotion scent. I had to deduct stars because of the fragrance - I personally dislike strong scents. It made me hesitant to use it regularly. While the scent does gradually fade to a pleasant subtle fragrance, before that point, it's just too overpowering... excessive fragrance indeed. Highly recommended for those who enjoyed using Johnson's Baby products! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSep 2, 2019
The Hwahae Testers Review Skin type: Acne-prone + Dry Repurchase intention: 80% 1. Application (Absorption): ★★★★★ The application is absolutely superb! It also absorbs quite well! The smooth application makes me want to keep reapplying. 2. Moisturizing power: ★★★★☆ Rather than a moist, hydrating feel, it's more like a product that locks in the skin's moisture. If I were to compare it to something, it's like wearing a winter puffer jacket! It's closer to oil than water and was a product with excellent moisturizing power! 3. Soothing effect: ★★★★☆ To be honest, before using it, I saw ingredients like shea butter that usually cause acne for me, so I applied it with caution. Surprisingly, I didn't get a single pimple, and some even disappeared! I don't know why, but it's amazing for skin soothing... 4. Quantity: ★★★★★ The container looks small, but there's surprisingly a lot of product. I think it'll last me generously until this winter! 1. Irritation When I first applied it to my skin, there was a slight burning sensation. It disappeared after a few minutes, but the initial burning feeling made me hesitant to use it frequently. 2. Packaging As soon as I opened it for the first time, the cream had leaked out. When I gently wiped it, quite a lot came out. The packaging could use some improvement. 3. Fragrance The strong powdery scent might be polarizing. It has an intense fragrance, almost like wearing perfume... It's great to use as a night cream! If you apply it generously like a pack before bed, you'll definitely notice a difference in how your makeup applies the next day! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2019
First off, I have combination dehydrated skin with acne and sensitivity! I needed a light moisturizer for summer, and since Skinfood's Propolis Essence was my winter holy grail, I was hoping the Queen's Garden Moisture Cream with honey extract would become my summer holy grail. Here's what I found: ◇ Light and quick-absorbing I dislike greasy, heavy feelings, but despite its rich extracts, this product was lightweight, non-sticky, and absorbed quickly. ◇ Solved deep dryness The biggest issue for combination dehydrated skin - deep dryness! Even with a small amount, I felt my skin become fully hydrated. ◇ A little goes a long way I thought I'd used the right amount at first, but there was still some left. A small amount spreads well, and it has excellent absorption. It'll last a while! ◇ Skin looks great the next morning Usually, rich creams make my T-zone greasy overnight, while lighter ones leave my U-zone feeling tight. With this product, my whole face had a glow and felt just right, so I used only this before bed. - Overall it was good, but the price... ouch. I'll have to think about repurchasing. - It's disappointing that you have to scoop it out with your hands instead of using a spatula, which affects dosage control and hygiene. - I'm prone to acne, and while I'm not sure if it's because of this product, I've noticed more bumps overall and some deep blemishes have flared up significantly. So I've stopped using it for now. +++Update after a month of use@@@ After my skin flared up, I used only my tried-and-true basics to recover. When I tried this cream again... immediately 3 deep blemishes appeared, so I decided it doesn't suit me and gave it to my roommate... But even my roommate, who has dry skin without acne, broke out right after using it. It just didn't work for either of us.
