Hmm, I don't think there are any downsides. It's almost scentless.

I was worried that the clay would be stiff or not very spreadable, but that's not the case at all!!! It applies very creamily.
When I actually apply it, there's no cooling sensation, and I was wondering if it would really take care of the scalp, but it definitely does.
Since I have a weak scalp and a skin type that easily develops tiny flakes, even when I wash my hair thoroughly, it doesn't always look clean. But after shampooing, squeezing out the moisture, and gently massaging it into the scalp area, the scalp cleansing was done thoroughly.

And usually, hair packs are quite slippery, but this one isn't, which is great.
I didn't feel much oiliness, so I thought this was more of a scalp care product than a treatment. But after drying, I was surprised to see that the hair on the scalp area had settled down nicely.

It's a bit awkward to apply conditioners or hair serums all the way to the scalp, but with this, I can care for the scalp separately, which is amazing!!!
