Color: Suitable for shades 21-23, leaning towards 22 if I had to choose Texture: The epitome of velvet, not matte but a soft, velvety feel Coverage: Natural-looking coverage, excellent at concealing pores Longevity: Barely budges, though it may rub off on masks if you use powder. No darkening effect The scent is terrible, unfortunately. It seems this shade might be discontinued on Chanel's official site... The BR and B shades really look like bronze medals. I'd recommend going for the BD line if possible. Even Chanel's yellow-base has a drop of pink, which makes it look more ivory-like and beautiful. I tried the BR12 sample and was shocked to see my face turn gray.. The Filly Mily V-cut brush and spatula + Happy Rim sponge combo is amazing. Occasionally it might settle into pores, but this tends to disappear over time. - ke*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 26, 2021
Skin type: Dry, Sensitive, Blemish-prone Shade: BD21 My complexion is neither particularly fair nor dark, but right in the middle. I don't like foundations that look too white on my skin, so I prefer colors that blend naturally with my skin tone. BD21 turned out to be a perfect match for me! It applies smoothly without any pilling or sliding, adhering perfectly to the skin. It's not overly dewy or too matte, but strikes a nice balance with a semi-matte finish that I really like. Although I have dry skin, I'm not fond of foundations that feel too moisturizing. Instead, I prefer to focus on hydrating skincare and then use a foundation that gives a more velvety finish. This foundation fits the bill perfectly! While it's known for its good coverage, I don't think the coverage is as impressive as its reputation suggests. Nevertheless, I would recommend this to those with similar skin types and tones to mine. - fk***Oily SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 12, 2020
The application, coverage, and staying power are great, and most importantly, the shade matched me perfectly. It applies smoothly without any clumping. As for coverage, while all foundations require careful application, I found this one quite satisfactory. It concealed about 70% of my pores, 80% of acne scars, and even 30% of recent inflamed blemishes. Durability-wise, I was concerned as I have oily skin, but after 10 hours, it only looked about 30% worn off. While pores became visible sooner, the rest of my face remained flawless for hours. The color suited my complexion beautifully. My skin tone changes easily with my condition and sun exposure, and this summer I've been embracing a slightly tanned look - think healthy, sun-kissed glow. I'm usually shade 21, but after tanning, I'm between 22 and 23. The BD21 shade initially appears light but settles to about half a shade lighter than my skin tone after an hour. When testing in-store, I tried darker shades from B40, but they were too bronze-like, so I passed on those. It's a bit matte. Not drying per se, but might feel too matte for those with very dry skin. I applied it with a Picasso pore brush, which definitely boosted the coverage. For removal, an oil cleanser works wonders - it comes off easily! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 13, 2020
I initially avoided Chanel foundation due to its coverage, but I decided to try the Ultra Le Teint after hearing good reviews, and it's truly amazing. I'm between shades 22-23 and love natural-looking colors, so I first bought B30. It was slightly dark, so I purchased BD21 as well. Both colors are great to use depending on my mood, but I also enjoy mixing them together. There's nothing negative to say. Considering the prices of department store foundations these days, it's not even that expensive. When comparing the same shade numbers, Beige Doré appears slightly lighter than Beige. - bd******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 26, 2019
To sum it up in one sentence, this is my holy grail foundation! My skin tone is between 21-22, with combination skin and some redness in certain areas. (Each category is rated out of 5 points) ✔️Coverage: 4 -> While it doesn't offer as much coverage as Double Wear, it doesn't feel as heavy either. It evens out the complexion nicely, covering most blemishes except for severe ones. One full pump is a bit much; about 0.7 of a pump is enough for a full face application. ✔️Longevity: 5 -> The staying power is truly phenomenal. I apply my makeup at 8 AM, and when I get home around 10 PM, it's still intact. There's minimal breakdown around the nose area (and even that looks graceful), while the rest of the face remains flawless. ✔️Dryness: 1 (hardly any) -> Despite its powdery finish, it doesn't feel drying at all. While we're not in the harsh winter months yet, even during this transitional season, I barely notice any dryness. I have combination skin that tends to be dry except for the T-zone, but my cheeks and chin don't feel dry at all! ✔️Color: 4 -> The BD21 shade is slightly darker than my natural skin tone, giving a more subdued look that matches well with my neck. For this foundation, if we're comparing shades with the same number: R (pink base) > BD (yellow base) > B (neutral) in terms of brightness. For reference, other foundations I've used include Estée Lauder Double Wear (Cool Vanilla) and Dior Forever Skin Glow (N201). There aren't many downsides to speak of. The price point is typical for a department store foundation. I apply it with a damp beauty sponge, but I've heard others say it works great with a brush too.
