Oil and moisture balance is crucial... When skin gets oily or pores get clogged, it's a party of skin irritation, small bumps, and large blemishes. 2. Prone to allergic reactions. 3. Thin skin with visible blood vessels. Chemical exfoliation only possible once a week. Reason for purchase: Increasing dryness and deep dryness becoming severe. Felt the usual routine needed oil, not just hydration. Tried Bepanthen ointment, but it made the skin oily on top while still dry underneath... Resulting in a party of small bumps and pustules. After considering hyaluronic acid/collagen/ceramides/EGF+FGF, Decided ceramides might be risky for acne, EGF+FGF was too expensive... Was about to buy hyaluronic acid + collagen serum, but! Got tempted by LaLa Bla's 6000 won discount and bought two of these! (Actually, it's 6000 won cheaper on Hwahae with sale + points... Could've had a coffee with that...) Pros: 1. Deep dryness The deep dryness that even oils couldn't fix is solved!!!!!!!!!!! Also great that even after applying cream, skin feels soft yet moisturized.... So amazing! 2. Pores I'm the type to check for oil every morning... My skin that used to be slick with oil~ Now produces slightly moist oil after using this ampoule!!! Hehe, so I think my pores have shrunk a bit! But because of masks... My pores have expanded so much this year.... Feeling down....
ConsAfter reading reviews, I wondered why the dropper was an issue, but it is annoying... The ampoule is a bit thick, and the dropper is stiff. So it doesn't have the usual dropper feel I'm used to.
TipHyaluronic acid is the worst on skin without moisture! When I used Dive In Serum without knowing how to use it properly, I broke out terribly... You need to add moisture with it. Never apply it alone like an ampoule!!!! I mix it with various products and apply. Try one of these 1-3 methods once a day, whichever suits you!! 1. Spray thermal water mist and add 1-2 drops of ampoule 2. Apply aloe gel and add 2-3 drops of ampoule 3. Add 1 drop to your emulsion Regular routine: 1. Cleanse with low pH cleansing foam 2. Gently wipe with a hot, damp towel 3. (Only at night, apply a pinky nail-sized amount of Adapalene gel on forehead, chin, and cheeks) 4. Mix Sidmool EFI serum + Scinic emulsion + The Lab by Blanc Doux cream + Hyaluronic acid ampoule Mix in 3:2:3:1 ratio, use 3 pumps of this emulsion 5. Apply the mixed emulsion again about 10 minutes later

However, when applied to the skin, it goes on surprisingly smoothly. The hydration level seems just right. Personally, I found that the To*den ampoule caused some deep dryness, but this Dokdo ampoule seems to fill my skin with more moisture from within.
ConsThere's nothing particularly disappointing about it. If I had to nitpick, I'd say it's a bit on the thicker side, so it doesn't flow easily through the dropper. But that doesn't make it difficult to use at all.

It seems perfect for the fall and winter seasons!
ConsThe texture was quite thick, which was a bit disappointing. I wish the quantity had been more generous.

ConsThe texture is a bit thick, so it was difficult to draw up the product with the dropper when there wasn't much left in the bottle

It seems quite different from other ampoules.
ConsIt's so thick that it's hard to squeeze out. Please improve the packaging so it comes out more easily.

The texture of this product is delightfully thick and creamy, so it doesn't drip or run. At first, I wondered if it would absorb well, but after layering, it sinks in beautifully. The hydration is fantastic! I once forgot to apply my usual cream before bed (I had layered this serum twice), and when I woke up the next morning, there was no deep dryness at all. Since then, I've been doing two layers every night before bed.
ConsDespite its rich texture, it comes with a dropper, which makes controlling the amount tricky. While droppers have their benefits, it doesn't seem to suit this particular formulation.
TipAs someone who doesn't wear makeup, on extremely dry days I apply two layers. If I use one full dropper for the first application, I'll use about half that amount for the second layer. When I apply it after the first layer seems fully absorbed, it works wonders in preventing any deep dryness.

ConsI had high hopes for this product since it's from the same line as the Dokdo Toner, but unlike the toner, it feels quite rich and sits on the skin more than I expected. It seems like its effectiveness might vary depending on the season. It might be a bit too heavy for use in humid summers, but I think it could be great for dry skin days.
TipI recommend applying this as part of your nighttime skincare routine before bed, rather than during the day when you're active.

My current skin condition (since late April 2019): ✔️Oily (not combination dehydrated) ✔️Sensitive (no redness) ✔️No acne : Occasional 1-2 pustules, but quickly managed. Faint acne scars on left cheek. ✔️Significantly reduced pore size Note: This review is tailored for oily skin types. Recommended for those who: - Want intense hydration with a small amount of concentrated product. - Aim to improve skin elasticity. - Seek a soothing product with simple ingredients. - Currently use the Dokdo Toner. Summary review: -Ingredients: Excellent -Hydration: Excellent -Absorption: Very Good -Soothing: Excellent -Skin elasticity: Excellent -Value for money: Good Pros: Ingredients: True to the trusted Dokdo line, the ingredients are gentle. No medium-risk components, so it's safe to use. Like the Dokdo Toner, it's simple but contains all the necessary ingredients, making it easy on the skin. Hydration: Skin feels moisturized for a long time. The concentrated ampoule is effective even in small amounts. It seems to help build a moisture barrier. Absorption: The texture is gel-like and thick. It's more viscous than a runny consistency, similar to aloe gel. It doesn't absorb immediately upon application, but after patting it in and waiting a bit, it leaves a moisturized finish! Soothing: Dokdo line is known for its soothing effects, and this doesn't disappoint. Even those with sensitive skin should be able to use it worry-free. Skin elasticity: It's great for improving elasticity. I've been using it with the Dokdo Toner, and my skin has become more supple. Highly recommended for those needing a boost in elasticity! Value for money (during promotions): It's cheapest when bought during Hwahae events! You can get the Dokdo Toner + Ampoule set for about 23,000 won during sales, so it's a must-buy during these times. Despite the small volume, the thick gel-like texture means I've used it for 3 weeks without seeing much reduction in quantity.
ConsCons: Dropper length: The dropper is short. And because it's thick like a gel, it doesn't come out easily. This means you have to repeatedly insert and remove the dropper, which can be inconvenient! Slow absorption: As mentioned earlier, it doesn't absorb immediately. It takes some time to sink in. Price: The regular price is quite steep... It's hard to justify buying it outside of promotions. Gel-type Dokdo Toner?: After using it, it felt like a concentrated, gel-like version of the Dokdo Toner. However, it's effective for skin elasticity and hydration, so using it together with the Dokdo Toner creates a great synergy effect. I recommend using them together!
TipBasic Skincare Routine: -Morning: Cleansing foam > Toner > Ampoule > Aloe gel > (Sunscreen) -Evening: Cleansing oil > Cleansing foam > Toner > Ampoule > Aloe gel Cleansing oil: <Yuri Pibu - Grande Cleansing Oil> : 2-3 pumps when wearing sunscreen, 1 pump normally. (Recently, I've been double cleansing every evening, and it hasn't clogged my pores or caused any blemishes. I was worried about damaging my skin barrier, but this cleansing oil is so gentle that I can use it without concern!) Cleansing foam: <Round Lab - Dokdo Cleanser> : Use 2-3cm, lather well with lukewarm water, massage thoroughly on face, then rinse clean. Toner: <Round Lab - Dokdo Toner> : Apply two layers with hands. Pat gently to finish. Ampoule: <This product> : 1.5 drops on cheeks, 1 drop elsewhere. Spread with fingers using a rolling motion. Pat gently to finish. Aloe Vera Gel: <Aromatica - 95% Organic Aloe Vera Gel> : Apply 1-2 layers as needed. Excellent for soothing effects.

Absorbs well into the skin. When applied before makeup, it doesn't cause any pilling and keeps the skin hydrated.
ConsThe texture is a bit thick, so you need to hold the dropper slightly upwards to draw the product up properly!
TipApplying it before makeup leaves your skin feeling hydrated.

I have combination dehydrated skin with deep dryness. My skin can be sensitive at times, so I need to use gentle products. I've tried many products to combat deep dryness, but they only work when first applied... After a while, my skin feels tight and my makeup looks patchy. But this product? Absolutely amazing! I only used toner, this product, and sunscreen. Reading other reviews, it seems like a love-it-or-hate-it product, but for me, it was perfect! The product is interesting - before applying, it's bouncy and jelly-like, not runny at all. But the moment you apply it, it becomes very fluid and hydrating. The first day I used it, I immediately felt my skin texture improving. I used it consistently morning and night, and it really did improve! My skin looks good without even trying. People kept asking if I'd used a face mask the night before! And the makeup... wow! I prefer dewy makeup for hydration rather than coverage, but usually by afternoon, my makeup would separate and my pores would show. With this serum, my makeup applies beautifully! Even with minimal base makeup, my pores are invisible. My skin looks smoother and cleaner. In the afternoon, my makeup still looks like it's clinging to my skin, unlike before when I'd end up bare-faced. The best part? It's not drying at all. While it can't keep me hydrated all day, it's much less drying than before. I haven't felt dry at all while using this. It's truly a perfect match for me!
ConsEven though this product works so well for me, there are still a few downsides. As others have mentioned, the most inconvenient part is the dropper. The product is quite thick, so it's hard to draw up with the dropper. The liquid is also clear, so sometimes I think I've drawn some up, but there's nothing there! Secondly, it feels quite rich when applied. On the first day, I felt my face heating up and felt a bit suffocated. I got used to it after a few days and kept using it, but I think many people might find it uncomfortable to use in summer. Lastly, it feels expensive for the amount you get. While you don't need to use as much as you would with a toner, the small amount for that price might make me hesitate to repurchase... Though I'll probably end up buying it again anyway!
TipI heard that using it with the Dokdo Toner enhances the effects, so I tried it, and it really seems true! Compared to using it with other toners, using it with the Dokdo Toner gave me a fresh, hydrated feeling. When I used it with other toners, it felt quite heavy.
