I believe this product lives up to its whitening claims. After applying about three pumps and spreading it evenly, I definitely notice a brighter complexion when I wake up in the morning. It's so effective that I even used it before meeting a girl I'm interested in - I applied it 3-4 hours before our date, took a quick nap, and woke up looking refreshed! My skin tends to be on the darker side, so rather than aiming for a pale look, I prefer a brighter complexion. This product definitely delivers noticeable results in that aspect! I've never experienced any blemishes from using it. As for the texture, it goes on quite sticky and remains that way after application. Because of this, I try not to move my face much and aim to fall asleep quickly. The price might be the only drawback.
