While I'm admittedly hesitant about future purchases due to it being a Japanese brand, I must say the cleansing effectiveness is impressive for the price point. It comes in a tube and dispenses as a foam, but transforms into an oil as you massage it in. The scent is pleasant, and I've been using multiple tubes of this product. For reference, I follow up with a second cleanse using a different foam cleanser. Since I use a separate eye makeup remover, I can't speak to its effectiveness on mascara or eyeliner. Controlling the amount dispensed is crucial, and compared to pure oils, it feels a bit wasteful. Also, the fact that it's a Japanese brand and some of the ingredients do give me slight pause. I recommend starting with a small amount as it transforms into plenty of oil. It leaves the skin feeling moisturized, but as I have combination-oily skin, I'm not fond of that sensation, hence the double cleanse. However, if you don't have this skin type, you could potentially use this alone followed by an exfoliating toner.
