I bought this because I heard the pink calamine ingredient helps with itching, sunburn, and redness. While it's said to be safe for infants and the whole family, I'm currently using it just for myself. Though it's known as a soothing cream, it's not like the typical watery, quick-absorbing ones we're familiar with. In my opinion, this cream seems to have a calming effect similar to soothing creams. When you gently pat it in, it absorbs completely and leaves a slightly cool sensation, which is nice. I'm hoping it will help reduce my redness too! There's not really anything I'm disappointed with. I'm quite satisfied and haven't noticed any major flaws. I've heard it can pill if applied before makeup, but I've only used it in the evening so I can't comment on that. It's fine to apply it generously, almost like an overnight mask.
